Second time staying at the Global Village, and it's still one of the best hostels in NZ. It's clean, it's comfortable, it's got good vibes and it's quiet. It's a well run ship.

It's a lovely hostel, a bit further away from the train station and city centre but they offer you a ride if you come or leave by bus so it's not a big deal. There is also a supermarket quite close. Staff is very friendly, common spaces are clean. Rooms are spacious, bunk beds are good. Would recommend.

The room was private and very spacious for a backpackers. The beds were pretty comfortable too. The staff were very friendly and helpful and overall it was a good property with lots of space. Honestly, this was one of the best hostels we had stayed at in terms of overall experience. It was also nice that they spread people out a bit and didn't try to cram everyone into the same space when it wasn't fully booked.
