HI Oslo Haraldsheim, hotel in Oslo

Surrounded by the greenery of Oslo’s Grefsen neighbourhood, this hostel is 4 km from the city centre. It offers access to a fully equipped kitchen, garden with BBQ and free WiFi in public areas.

The hostel was clean and with all the necessary amenities. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options, and they even packed breakfast for us because we were checking out early. It was located close to Grefsen station, so commuting was easy to. The girl at the reception (I am so sorry I forgot her name) was extremely kind to help us with all the information we requested.

Oslo Vest Hostel, hotel in Oslo

In a prime location in the Frogner district of Oslo, Oslo Vest Hostel is situated 2.9 km from Oslo Central Station, 8 km from Sognsvann Lake and 1.5 km from Frogner Park.

The room was beyond our expectations! We booked this hostel because of the price and location. It is a very close proximity from the train and we were able to walk from the train to the apartment (in the snow) with no problem. There is a 7/11 across the street which was very convenient for our first late night (we did not arrive until 11pm). Follow the instructions via the email to get the key and you won't have an issue. There are a few bars downstairs which was nice to grab a cocktail and observe the Oslo night scene. The apartment is a convenient location to walk to town and the museums. And if you're not a walker the train is right there. Many cute cafe's and restaurants on the block itself. The building and the buildings around are gorgeous. The room itself was spacious, warm and the bed was comfortable. We had a couch, tv, coffee table, and plenty of space to unpack/repack our 4 suitcases. The common room and kitchen were very nice and clean. We only used the kitchen to make a cheeseboard, but you can easily cook up a full meal. The bathroom was well stocked and clean. The only thing I would suggest with a shared bathroom situation is to use the toilet/shower at low peak times! We had to sometimes wait a bit to use the shower - this depends on the other guests of course! But all the guests were respectful and everything was clean during our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Hostel Oslofjord, hotel in Stabekk

Situated in Stabekk, 2.1 km from Sarbuvollen Beach, Hostel Oslofjord features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge.

This hostel is offering an affordable accommodation with a very good and varied breakfast with fresh fruits. The room was clean and equipped with own bathroom and shower. The location was also good, a quiet place with good public transport connections both by a train and a bus and easy access to central in Oslo. In addition, a big plus of the free and monitored parking area for the car.

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Cheap room for two in Oslo. Very easy to reach from main train station. Would recommend this room only if it is the cheapest option available and you're on a tight budget. Was an acceptable experience, nothing bad.

Great location a few minutes walk from railway station for the Airport express train. Central for transport shops and cafes. Like any big city a few unsavoury types outside but we did not feel unsafe. Front desk staff knowledgeable and friendly, best buffet breakfast ever seen, plus complimentary afternoon tea and a light dinner so incredible value in an expensive country.

The hostel is at a great location although at least locals say that is a bit shady area. Just across the river is a bery nice bohemian creative neighbourhood that looks and feels much safer. Staff of the hostel is wonderful, friendly and helpful. Common areas are nicely designed and quite comfortable. Checkin and checkout was very quick and efficient.

Great location, so close to the central train station (with easy connections to airport) and all the highlights of Oslo. The lobby and common areas are modern and funky and make you feel less like you are at a budget hotel. Definitely a boutique version of budget. Bed was comfy and the room, though small as expected, was functional. Cheap coffee in the lobby!

Always like this place for short trip to Oslo with friends. It is cozy and clean room in norwegian minimalistisk style with all that you need. Only thing is a kettle, we do need it in the room. Great hostel, especially if you like new people and meetings, they have great location and big common area. It is cool that now sheets are free, they give you towels as well. Takk takk!

Great little hotel - budget option for someone who wants some space and privacy without the hotel price-tag. I had been staying in a combination of hostels and hotels for a long trip and this was a great economical option for a break from dormitory life. Great location, close to train station, sight-seeing and some lovely cafes, bars and restaurants.

Great location and communal areas. Self checkin is smooth and given the crazy expensive prices in Oslo, this is a more budget alternative to regular hotel rooms (though still not cheap!)
