Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
The cheapest hostel in Luxemburg, but compare to German hostels price\quality is worst in Luxemburg. Everything clean and each bed has charger and lamp. Big shower (but without shower gel), linen was clean and toliets\shower was clean. This is the best budget option in this country. The personal was very nice.
1. Location - picturesque place to stay, but also might have some cons (described below).
2. Cleanliness - the overall cleanliness was good (not considering that some residents didn't keep up with it).
Plus, Pricewise the Youth Hostel is the cheapest in Luxembourg I think. Yet, their Esch-Sur-Alzette branch is obviously a better option than Luxembourg city - the problems I described below.
Friendly staff who are welcoming and helpful.
Relaxing and safe atmosphere at the Youth Hostel.
Rooms are a good size. Excellent “menu du jour”
that is superb value for money.
Purpose built "Youth Hostel" of the traditional type rather than a commercial "backpacker" hostel. Great to have the option of "proper" food meals at both lunch & dinner than just pizzas and burgers over the bar as so often the case elsewhere.
Really peaceful, quiet location away from the hustle& bustlev yet close to the old town
Great location. Walking distance from the centre. For very cheap price. Just very simple hostel. Breakfast is also very simpel.
Bathroom window wasn’t clean which made me disgusted by the all of the bathroom.
The hostel's main and incredible advantage is its restaurant. It offers a basic breakfast buffet included in the price and a lunch & dinner menu for 11 euros. The portions are fair and supplemented by a basic salad/soup bar. While you shouldn't expect high-class meals, this is a cheap way to solve your nutrition needs if you are on a budget. A visitor must keep in mind that Luxembourg is very expensive. Even fast-food meals of a similar size will likely cost more in the city.
