The owners are extremely attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is welcoming and quiet. I slept on the last floor, so for guests carrying a big luggage, I recommend to bring a duffel bag or similar to bring your belongings upstairs. Although the owners did not hesitate for a second to bring my luggage, it was good sense to leave it on the ground floor and bringing only the items to be used (toiletry, pajamas, etc). The shared room has enough space to circulate. If you prefer to sleep in the dark, I recommend you bring the sleeping mask, as the lights remain on until the last guest sleeps. The shower is good , and you will have a nice hot water. The location is very close to the train station and to the Sanjo Dori street.

Bare bones hostel style accomodations. No staff on hand, but that doesn't necessarily pose a problem. There is a closet to leave luggage for the day after checkout, which was a great bonus. It's not locked or even watched, so leave luggage at your own risk.

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
Very cheap price for a double bed room with a private bathroom - check in and check out are extremely no-fuss, you just walk in and out. Room was actually bigger than the last budget hotel we stayed at. Very short walk from the station, great food places within walking distance too.
I don’t think I have ever rated a property as perfect, but this was one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. It is immaculately clean, and well located only minutes walking from Nara Station and Nara Park. Hiro-San and his family are the most generous hostel hosts I have ever encountered. They will go out of their way to help you! Thank you so much for my stay here!!

Absolutely incredible comfort and hospitality. The owner is exceptionally friendly and outgoing. Fells like a homestay rather than a hostel. Great way to meet new people also.
Perfect
The staff was really nice, the place cute and cozy, felt like home. Bring your earplug if you book the dormitory. Breakfast is cheap ans tasty. Close to the park. In a quiet area. Hot bath was nice at the end of the day!
And cheap.
The location was ideal to walk to Nara park, and the husband and wife owners (I'm terrible with names 😅) were incredibly warming and open when I arrived, and helped to call a restaurant when I needed to check my booking.
My room was lovely, and this is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in!
Perfect location for Nara Deer Park. There were Deer right outside the door.
It was great value for money, when you are a solo traveler looking for somewhere cheap but safe to stay.
It was clean, really really nice for such a cheap hostel, pretty good location (right in the middle of sightseeing locations but not too far from the station).
Great location near temples right in the park. Quiet, friendly, clean place. Not fancy but comfortable as a hostel should be:) Very cheap for such place. Sweet stuff.
