The location is perfect of you are doing the Camino de Santiago. It is right on the Camino in the center of Casteojeriz. I could have found a nicer, cleaner and hospitable place to stay the night. The food was amazing and the owners were spectacular!

This was a great little albergue in a very memorable small town. There were paid laundry and free (hand wash) laundry facilities, a group dinner offered (it was nice!), good backpack storage. Also, if you are a pilgrim who arrives when there is no food available, continue on to the far end of town and hit up the restaurant at the end on the right. They were very hospitable and served great food all day long!
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
All single beds and no bunks! Nice communal meal and got a vegetarian option. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy and the big dorm in the roof was atmospheric place to rest.
As other reviews have noted Castrojeriz is essentially one long street and this hostel is at the far end when walking in, but that just gives you a head start in the morning :) There is a nice square to sit and shops etc are also nearby.
Excellent hostel, the pods were so comfortable, and it was great to not hear any beds creaking when other people moved!!! The best hostel sleep of my Camino so far…
The owner was really helpful, and dinner was good. I’d recommend this hostel for sure!
The best hostel on the Camino. Super friendly and helpful staff, great meal including vegan option, hot shower, blankets provided, warm room, very clean. Loved it here.
The fellow checking us in spoke excellent English. I took both meal options, dinner and breakfast, and was able to get a vegetarian dinner. I don't normally take a breakfast option but did this time because it's about 10 km to the next town with cafes. Meals are catered by someone else who brings them in. Liked the single beds, it was nice not dealing with a bunk bed. Great location, close to the Camino.
