I love everything about the property, very close to the village where you can find supermarket, restaurants, and any other kind of tour that I was looking for. 1min walking to the beach , not packed beach and with very chilled vibes, perfect for couples and families. The rooms are beautiful and comfortables, details oriented. Pool just for us anytime we wanted , and the fact that they don’t do the cleaning everyday for the climate impact we found it very ecological and nice, something that we appreciate.

The property is well located, not on the beach but minutes away walking from it so it’s better in terms of quietness because Nungwi beach is a very busy one. The breakfast was served almost in the room which was good. The staff was very nice and welcoming. It is located facing Cocobello a nightclub which was good for us because we were there to party. It’s near lots of restaurants as well. We really loved the peace and calm feeling of the place.

Mama root is like an oasis in Kizimkazi village. It is a beachfront very cosy hotel with a mesmerizing Indian ocean view and lovely sunsets. It is accessible to the village, taxis and boda bodas. The rooms were clean with an amazing decoration. The owners were very kind and customer-oriented. You can taste mouthwatering breakfast and delicious dinner. For me Mama root is a highly recommended paradise in Kizimkazi. Asante sana Olivia and Z 🙏🤍

The location is wonderful! The beach bar is amazing and everything was really perfect! Breakfast and food also fantastic.

We stayed in the "Apartment with Sea View". It felt like we had our own place on the beach, but with 2 people, Colin and Lesley, who cooked us excellent breakfasts and dinners. We loved the fruit crepes. The meals were not only delicious, but. so large we always had left overs for lunch The balcony apartment is quite large and has an am,azing pato with spectacular ocean view. The pool is deep and overlooks the ocean. We had it nearly to ourselves. There is a fridge near ,the pool with beer and soft drinks at very reasonable prices. If you wish a more lively place for drinks, you can go into town or next door to the Skybar. There is direct access to the ocean and while there are sea urchins, I swan in the ocean all 3 days I was there, but made sure I was wearing wster shoes. Some days we walked along the beach several kilometers. Colin and Lesley left us yo ourselves, except during breakfsst and dinner. They were grest hosts.
