Set in Ponta Delgada, 12 km from Pico do Carvao and 24 km from Sete Cidades Lagoon, The Rock Hostel offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The building was freshly renovated. Everything worked very well. The aircondition was very silent! The room was spacious. There was a small plunge pool, very handy.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and views of sea, Solar de Santo André is a recently renovated guest house located in Ponta Delgada, 12 km from Pico do Carvao. We had a phenomenal stay at Solar de St. André. We stayed for a week and were blown away by the standard of the accommodation and the fantastic hospitality. Eduarda and her team are brilliant and genuinely go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. We were always made to feel welcome and were even invited to a nearby concert, which was excellent. Marina deserves a special mention as she not only prepared fab breakfasts each morning, but gave us local advice, recommendations and just nice chit chat! Our room - the blue room - had everything we needed, super clean, well appointed and quiet. Comfortable bed. The hotel is like a museum, everything is charming and quaint but also modern and well-finished. Breakfast selection was always great, local produce and coffee always on hand . We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this place.

Set 12 km from Pico do Carvao, DMCharme offers air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. With inner courtyard views, this accommodation features a patio. Bed is comfortable. Private bathroom is huge. The host is very attentive and helpful. Daniel helped me with taxi when I was in the middle of the island.

CITY STONE HOUSE in Ponta Delgada provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, barbecue facilities and a shared lounge. I want to recommend this accommodation to everyone who comes to the azores! A great accomodation and an even grater host! He really cares for your wellbeing and for you to make your stay as enjoyable as possible! He provided us with every help and assistance, from tips where to go out for dinner to rainy-day-program, with bath towels for each day and even bathtowels to go to the hot springs (which are a must do in our opinion but thats another story) The room was very nice, clean and had everything we needed (thanks for the anti-moskito-plug! Made our nights very peaceful). In the shared area is even a fully equipped kitchen, there is coffe and even a garden to sit outside and enjoy breakfast. Locationwise you can get to the city center via a short walk, there is one excellent fish restaurant down the street and you have a parking opportunity suitable for mainland europeans ;) Everything you need is close by. Arrivillage, a property with a garden, is situated in Arrifes, 7.6 km from Pico do Carvao, 19 km from Sete Cidades Lagoon, as well as 20 km from Lagoa Verde. The owner of the place is a very friendly and attentionned man called José. He knows the island like his pocket and is very nice and kind. You will learn a lot from him as he is not affraid to take some time for exchanging with the guests. The house is clean and spatious. That's really worth it.

Featuring mountain views, Pousada da Vila provides accommodation with patio, around 500 metres from Praia do Corpo Santo. The owner was a real friendly person, and very welcoming. She made sure I was properly checked in and everything was in order, and gave some extra tips about the small town.

Offering pool with a view and sea view, Thalassa Villas is situated in Ponta Delgada, less than 1 km from São Roque Beach and a 15-minute walk from Milicias Beach. Beautiful property, well stocked and comfortable as well. Host was very attentive. Would definitely stay here again if we came back! (it was fantastic to have nearby parking that was free, and Ponta Delgada was only a few minutes away. Very easy!)

Boasting a garden and a terrace, Quinta das Palmeiras is situated in Povoação. Everything about this stay was just perfect! Maria and Antonio are the perfect hosts - always smiling and giving us advices on what to visit and when. The kitchen is fully equipped and the room is very cozy and comfortable. The view out of the window into the greenery of their big garden is so relaxing, that you will never want to leave. Definitely recommend if you wanna stay out of the city and enjoy some quiet.

Located in Povoação and only 2.4 km from Morro Beach, Casa da Lomba do Cavaleiro provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Rodrigo is the best host ever. I honestly already miss the place already. It felt like home. And his attentive nature is such a rare quality. A true gentleman and kind soul. Great breakfast, great location, beautiful views, lovely rooms with charm. Couldn't of asked for more.

Situated in Ribeira Grande and within 300 metres of Ponte dos Oito Arcos, Matriz Guest House has a garden, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. Sweetest house, feels like home, a fancy home. Beautiful real furniture, sweet homemade stuff,... Comparing to other places on the island (I've moved around) this place became a part of my vacation, good experience :)
