I recently stayed at a newly built hotel in Ponta Delgada for one night and had a very pleasant experience. The modern design and fresh ambiance were immediately noticeable. We used the convenient self-check-in option, which was quick and easy. Despite our early morning checkout, the hotel kindly prepared a special breakfast for us, showcasing their excellent service. The hotel featured a well-equipped kitchen on the ground floor and an inviting pool area, though we didn't have time to use the pool.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and views of sea, Solar de Santo André is a recently renovated guest house located in Ponta Delgada, 12 km from Pico do Carvao. highly recommend staying at Solar de Santos André! I was lucky to stay there 4 nights (3 in the studio and 1 in the appartment), it is really a beautifull place! The house is a museum in itself, you can feel that history took place in those rooms, the 'library' is incredible and the kitchen is a dream. Eduarda will give you lots of tips and advice on the island, and if you wish she will tell you the story of the house. You trully feel at home and in a cocoon within the city. The breakfasts are awsome (thank you Maria as well :) I'll be back for sure!!

Arrivillage, a property with a garden, is situated in Arrifes, 7.6 km from Pico do Carvao, 19 km from Sete Cidades Lagoon, as well as 20 km from Lagoa Verde. The property was lovely, very well situated, very clean, full of flowers. We felt at home and this is due to the owner. Happy and eager to come back!

Offering pool with a view and sea view, Thalassa Villas is situated in Ponta Delgada, less than 1 km from São Roque Beach and a 15-minute walk from Milicias Beach. Beautiful property, well stocked and comfortable as well. Host was very attentive. Would definitely stay here again if we came back! (it was fantastic to have nearby parking that was free, and Ponta Delgada was only a few minutes away. Very easy!)

Located in Povoação and only 2.4 km from Morro Beach, Casa da Lomba do Cavaleiro provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Rodrigo is an amazing host. We truly felt welcomed. He has a gentle and warm presence. He prepared a wonderful surprise for us on arrival: he gave us the room with the astonishing sea view, with a lot of privacy, instead of the one originally booked. The house is wonderful, the bed very comfortable, the breakfast tasty, the backyard having a breathtaking view. This accommodation is a true gem.

Situated in Ribeira Grande and within 300 metres of Ponte dos Oito Arcos, Matriz Guest House has a garden, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. Rossana and her husband are the greatest people,really warm feeling from the first second I have arrived,large room,clean,big terrase,absolute privacy,great breakfast,she is making her own jams which you can taste by the breakfast and they are to die for. It is super close to the square,you can walk around the cute Ribeira Grande and not that far from the beach as well. I will be back!
