It was extremely convenient as far as location. Everything is a short walk along the train tracks. The view is amazing and seeing the train pass through the valley is surreal. The best part of the experience was the staff. It is family run, and they were extremely accommodating.

We loved the convenient location of this hotel, nestled just minutes from the center of Ella and a quick 10-minute tuk-tuk ride to the iconic Nine Arches Bridge. The staff were friendly and welcoming, with good English skills that made communication easy. Our room was impressively spacious and spotlessly clean, offering a comfortable retreat after exploring. The bathroom was nice with a pleasant shower, though the water pressure could have been a bit stronger.

We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed the place. It was an incredible experience! We loved everything about the place. The view from the room was just incredible.. You can see beautiful clear sky during the night full of stars - so magical! Big balcony overlooking mountains. The sound of nature was so calming. The room itself was really clean, tidy, cozy and truly felt like home. Very spacious bathroom. Loved the decor. Breakfast was delicious with the view of the mountains. Perfect location - 10 min walk to the main street or 5 min by tuk tuk. Would recommend this place, it was the best stay from all of the places we’ve been in Sri Lanka.

Situated in a nice area a away from the busy Ella Town. Ella is in wakeble distance or you can get a Tuktuk for a cheap price. The best off all is the host (Shiraz), he is so friendly and helpful and funnyl. He help us to get good prices for Tuktuks, Laundry, Massages and Transport. Further he preperted really good breakfast, with new options every day.

Home Hostel Ella is an incredible place to stay! The view of the mountains and tea plantations is breathtaking, and the atmosphere is so peaceful. The owner is exceptionally kind, generous, and always ready to help. Whether you're on a budget or looking for a cozy stay, this place is perfect. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the little touches, like being offered fruits when I arrived hungry in the evening, made the experience even more special. There's a lovely cat that adores hugs and a shy but sweet dog. Everything about my stay was wonderful, and I’d highly recommend it!

Aiaga Holly House Homestay asub Ellas, 48 km kaugusel Hakgala botaanikaaiast, 49 km kaugusel Horton Plainsi rahvuspargist ja 500 meetri kaugusel Ella vürtsiaiast. Everything was perfect. Clean, comfortable 3 min walk to the bus station.

Leisure Mount View asub Haputales, Gregory järvest vaid 42 km kaugusel. Kohapeal on tasuta jalgrattad, aed ja ühisköök. Great hotel with view on tea plantation. Hotel offer you real espresso with sri lanka coffe beans. Room are clean and very nice design. However the hotel ist in 1400 atitude , room was warm and cozy. Owner and his staff are polite and always in good mood and ready to help you.

Secret View is one of the best home stay experiences we had in Sri Lanka. Breathtaking views. Perched above the train tracks looking across at Ella’s Rock, Little Adam’s Peak and a waterfall. Sit on the swing and watch sunrise or the misty clouds passing. You have two viewpoints of the iconic train going by as well. It’s magic! The space is a perfect base for exploring Ella + surrounding areas. Private balcony. Well equipped room: plenty of space and comfy seating. Extra blankets. Bed was comfy. Fan, hairdryer and TV should you need it. A fridge with cheap drinks if you’d like to buy. What makes this place most special is Namal and his family. They were the kindest, caring and helpful people. The epitome of Sri Lankan warmth. They welcomed us with open, warm hearts. Great communication over WhatsApp. Helped us book a cooking class (Matey Hut - highly recommend). Made time to check in with us for advice and local tips. Delicious breakfasts. Tuktuk lifts to/from the town which they wouldn’t take payment for. They went above and beyond to make sure I was ok when I felt unwell. I can’t say enough good things about Secret View and Namal + his family. Experiences like these are memories for a lifetime 💕
