The room was very clean and the large floor to ceiling window/door gave plenty of light and a view of the mountain jungle. The host was very friendly and helpful.

Star gaze is a wonderful place. The staff were excellent, genuinely lovely people who couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast on the balcony taking in the views of Ella was very special. The views from our room were breath taking.

The view from the balcony is absolutely amazing. It’s quiet and a great place to calm down and relax. The room was very clean and we had no problems with Moskitos or other animals. The staff and the owner were very friendly and helpful. They can organize a scooter for rent or a tuktuk (taxi) if needed. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Eagle View Villa.

Nethanya Homestay is set in Ella, 4.9 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge, and offers a terrace, garden, and free WiFi. With garden views, this accommodation provides a balcony. We stayed only 2 nights but we wish we could stay a little longer. The host Anoja and her wonderful family have always a smile on their faces and are so welcoming. The room was spotless, we slept so well: the mattress and pillows were so comfortable and our privacy was respected at all times. Very peaceful location, nested away from the noisy centre of Ella but only 10 min walk, and very close to the train station. Strongly recommended!

Wingate Homestay has a terrace and is situated in Ella, within just less than 1 km of Ella Spice Garden and a 11-minute walk of Ella Railway Station. This is our favorite host in Sri Lanka. The family running this place couldn’t be nicer, they made us feel at home immediately (not only with fresh juices they made). The room we’ve stayed in was very cozy, comfortable and very clean. In the mornings we’ve opened the window to listen to the birds (the garden around the house is amazing and the area is very quiet(!). It’s the perfect place to relax before hiking. Another highlight is homemade super tasty breakfast. Don’t hesitate to choose this place if you’ll be in Ella. Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality.

Set just 42 km from Gregory Lake, leisure Mount View features accommodation in Haputale with access to free bikes, a garden, as well as a shared kitchen. Beautiful views, Spacious room, comfy bed! Amazing & friendly staff. Extremely helpful and attentive. We had both our dinners and breakfast here and it was definitely the best Sri Lankan food we have had so far. Location is 20 min walk to town - which we liked a lot but could easily get a tuk tuk which would take less than 5 minutes.

Located in Ella, Secret View Homestay Ella offers 4-star accommodation with private balconies. This homestay provides free private parking, free shuttle service and free WiFi. This was probably our favourite stay in Sri Lanka! Namal, his wife and children were the sweetest and most accommodating people we met during our stays. A genuine heartfelt welcome and a constant will to help us arrange anything we needed. The location of the Homestay, a bit outside of the city centre and with a few steep steps to go up, was definitely the prettiest! A direct view of the Ella Rock and Little Adam’s peak, as well as of the Kuda Ravana waterfall. Wonderful terrace for breakfast, as well as a welcome tea, and cute little private balcony of the room with a swing from where we could enjoy the view. Big and clean bathroom, hot water and WiFi, everything was great. Also one of the most comfortable pillows we found during our stay in Sri Lanka. But again, most importantly, Namal’s family who made it all even better. Huge bonus: Ruby, their lovely dog! Great value for money too, it was definitely more than we expected!
