The room was nice, with a balcony, although there was a small bathroom, it was everything we needed. They remove the rubbish so that was nice. It had a mosquito net and a fan. The host was very nice, he offered to meet us at the dock.

Our vacation was fantastic! The place had a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the accommodations were very comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home.

Situated 200 metres from 18th Century Swahili House Museum, Pwani House - Lamu Seafront offers an indoor pool, and air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. One of the best places to stay in Lamu, with an amazing terrace in a spectacular house. There are a lot of good and not expensive restaurants around. The owner of the house did all to make it more than comfortable, arranged a pick up from the airport, gave me a free upgrade of the room, asked every day if I need or wish something, helped to find a amazing boat tour and enable to stay in the house a few hours longer. Providing a fitness centre, a terrace and free WiFi, Shiban House is a recently renovated homestay 500 metres from Manda Beach and 200 metres from Mnarani House. The homestay features family rooms. Evrything was good. Water could have been warmer somedays and electricity, but we didnlt die :) So peaceful, clean and beautiful place, for sure we are coming back.

Featuring a terrace with sea views, a private beach area and a garden, Mangrove House can be found in Lamu, close to Manda Beach and 600 metres from Mnarani House. Our stay on Manda’s side at Mangrove House was truly wonderful. The location is unmatched, the peace and quiet are absolute. The staff is wonderful and so is the owner, super attentive and ready to help and share. The house is right in front of Shela and Peponi hotel, just a short boat trip away. Would absolutely go back, and recommend it to everyone going to Lamu!
