Located in Besir in the West Papua region, Avinsea Homestay features a terrace and sea views. Guests staying at this homestay have access to a balcony. The best homestay and location we’ve seen and lived in during our multiple trips in Raja Ampat. The homestay has a fabulous house reef and is in front of the Citrus Ridge. What makes Avinsea special is the owner’s family and people who help them in the homestay and with trips. We felt welcomed and taken care of like their friends, enjoyed every minute of our stay. Food was generous and most delicious, plenty of fresh fruit and snacks. All trips to snorkelling spots were well organised (we were most impressed by Yeben island), we even did night snorkelling with them we will never forget. There was always somebody from Avinsea snorkelling together with us – we felt safe and able to see the sea life we would have never spotted on our own (crocodile fish, for example). They collect plastic garbage from the Citrus Ridge, take care of the reef. Stay as long there as you can. We are in another homestay now and missing the vibe of Avinsea. We will revisit this homestay during our next trips to Raja Ampat for sure.

Facing the seafront in Fam, Or Mandira Guest House features a private beach area and barbecue facilities. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. I really enjoyed my 5 days here. I was the only guest, so I had the whole beach (several kilometres long) to myself, which was fantastic. And at night all I could hear was the soothing sound of the ocean waves. The beach is just a few seconds away from the bungalow. Because it is by the sea, the waves are quite big and the breeze is a blessing in this otherwise quite hot place. And because the beach faces west, I saw the best sunsets in Raja Amapat. As for the accommodation, it is basic, but I had everything I needed. The food was delicious. The family helped me with everything. The father took me wherever I wanted to go and even gave me some tips, which turned out to be the best snorkelling I had in the area (Napoleon Reef and Fam Wall). He even climbed a palm tree to get me a fresh coconut. So I am really happy about everything and I recommend you to visit Or Mandira too.

Located in Besir in the West Papua region, Nyanse Homestay - Raja Ampat features a terrace. The homestay offers bed linen, towels and laundry service. Feri and his family were so welcoming. They could answer all our questions and point us in the right direction. Also nothing was too much trouble and they were really accommodating with us wanting to do excursions with limited notice. The views from the huts are stunning, it's nice to be able to walk to the local villages and the snorkelling from the homestay jetty is brilliant - we even saw a dugong!

Situated on the beachfront in Waisai, Coco Huts Guest House has a private beach area. The property features sea and mountain views. Best toilet facilities! Close to wayag! They make the trip amazing! They know really good how to navigate through rough weather! The food the best and the family amazing! We also missed the ferry and they got us to sorong!

Featuring sea views, Amban Beach House provides accommodation with balcony, around less than 1 km from Petrus Kafiar Beach. Direttamente sulla spiaggia grande e di sabbia bianca. È una spiaggia per surfisti e le onde non permettono di nuotare ma camminando per circa 100 m c'è un punto dove l'acqua è sempre più calma. La struttura è composta da un edificio in cui abitano i proprietari e un'ala con le grandissime camere curate e arredate con piccoli dettagli di gusto, di artigianato locale. Il letto kingsize super comodo, scrivania e piani di appoggio, l'armadio è solo una sorta di appendiabiti ma per l'abbigliamento in Indonesia e/o spiaggia è più che sufficiente. Il bagno è molto grande con tantissimo spazio per tutto. La doccia a raso è grandissima. Le stanze hanno un grande patio con panche di pietra e super pouf comodissimi. Il problema zanzare è gestibilissimo con un repellente e comunque abbiamo avuto in Indonesia meno problemi con le zanzare di quanti ne abbiamo a casa in città. All'arrivo ci hanno offerto un cocktail di frutta buonissimo. Offrono anche la colazione e i pasti e si può scegliere tra varie opzioni da un menù standard (decisamente più conveniente) e à la carte. Il personale è perfetto, disponibile e sorridente, se sono seduti scattano in piedi appena ci si avvicina! Qualcuno parla e capisce l'inglese bene. I proprietari (indonesiano lui e olandese lei) sono accoglienti e cordiali. Sono anche tour operator e sanno dare tantissimi consigli e info sulla zona. Organizzano anche tour di vario genere.

The homestay owner contactes us prior to our arrival to check if we were finding our way (they also offered a taxi pick-up at the harbour) and welcomed us with open arms. The homestay has a nice small garden where we had breakfast. The owners also helped us to arrange our taxi next morning
