Situado em Wollombi, em um edifício histórico, a 40 km dos Jardins Hunter Valley, o Capers Cottage and Barn Accommodation é uma pousada com jardim e terraço. The historic village of Wollombi was very scenic, we didn't have time to explore it as we were there for our daughter's wedding at a nearby retreat. We were warmly greeted by our host Jane, who took us on a tour of the main house which was a magnificent example of an early colonial mansion, very historic in origin. The Capers Guesthouse had a choice of three separate buildings for a stay, we had the Barn which was a real highlight as it was literally a slab barn with beautiful interior, so rustic but comfortable. The furniture inside was a collection of antiques which reflected the heritage atmosphere of the Barn and town. All modern facilities for cooking, the supplied breakfast had a choice of cereals or full cooked breakfast. The ingredients supplied were the best quality, tomatoes, huge mushrooms, eggs and the best sausages and bacon I've tasted in a long time. The bed was a huge king size, very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and supplied by fresh rainwater from tanks. We want to try the other buildings for a stay in the future and have the pleasure of a historic building stay.
