Daniela the proprietor was lovely, kind, attentive, and an amazing chef. She goes above and beyond to make us feel at home. Daniela accommodated an extra guest, a friend, allowing him to pitch a tent.
The location is really special with beautiful sunsets. Sits atop a hill.

Loved the comfort. It really felt like home away from home. So comfortable and well equipped! It even had a first aid kit! Well equipped kitchen.

cozy little place was perfect for what we needed. Walking distance to the lake marina or a short drive. Cottage is on the property of the main house but felt private. Nothing fancy but everything you need.

The apartment is very clean and spacious. We could enjoy the sunset every evening in the quiet, beautiful garden. The kind hostess recommended some nice trails in Yosemite and even provided an air horn to scare away bears. We enjoyed our stay in this retreat and the hiking in Yosemite.

The property was amazing. The view was gorgeous. We were so comfortable at the property, we did not have time to take advantage of the surroundings outside of location!
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
AMAZING stay between the Sequoia and the Yosemite parks. Ellen and Neil are great hosts. They made us feel welcome and they had plenty of useful info around the area and the Yosemite park. Plenty of space and everything was extremely clean and organized.
Beautiful private home close to Yosemite South Gate. Very calm and clean. Lots of high-quality ammenities. The hosts were really friendly and helpful, gave us good advice for our travels to Yosemite.
The location is so quiet. Danielle is a lovely host, and made us very welcome. The house is small as the photos show- but its well equipped and very clean. Really worth staying at.
The grounds were beautiful and peaceful to sit outside (with a fire pit!) Neil and Ellen were lovely hosts and really helpful with advice on activities and dining.
Daniela was a lovely host - so easy to communicate with and very helpful when we forgot to book our Yosemite tickets (she advised us we could go before 6am for free and watch the sunrise - which we did and it was the BEST thing we could have done!) It is around 45 minute drive to the Fish Camp area which was perfect for us. We loved the drive.
We dined in the second evening with Daniela's food which was delicious!
