We had a fantastic stay! The host was incredibly thoughtful, providing detailed information before check-in, including a great tip for taking a taxi. By asking the driver to stop near the nearby elementary school, we only had a short 100-metre walk to the property—super convenient!
Check-in and check-out were seamless. We stayed in a room on the second floor, which offered spectacular views. The room itself was beautifully set up, comfortable, and inviting—perfect for sitting by the window or balcony and enjoying the scenery all day.
The location is unbeatable, right next to Jiufen Old Street, which made exploring the area so easy and enjoyable. The host was lovely, always smiling, welcoming, and ready to help. There were also great amenities, including free snacks that guests could enjoy at their leisure.

Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
The staff at this homestay were wonderful! They picked us up from the train station which while close was an excellent bonus as it was pouring rain. The breakfast was good and we were sent home with mini lanterns as a souvenir. The room (family room) was extremely spacious and while the beds were a bit hard it was perfect for what we needed!
