The property is well located in the middle of the south part of an island, allowing you to ride either to the west or east coast. It’s close to the highway, but in a good sense - it’s just a few minutes to get to the main road, saves travel time.
To add on the location, it’s on the outskirts of a small but nice town where you can walk and taste some local goodies (bolos, queijadas).
We personally liked the property for having a separate room and separate bathroom, separate patio to have our meals at - this way you don’t interfere with other guests. Supermarket (Pingo Doce) is really close by. The property’s kitchen is stacked up with any item you possibly need to cook a decent meal.

Great location for hiking; but you do need a car to go almost anywhere since it is so hilly. Very friendly owner who is justifiably proud of his lovely orchard. It's not fancy, but the price reflects that. It is a lower level apartment with limited windows, but a very nice outdoor picnic table area.
A good location for a stress-free stay in Povoação, Vista do Topo is a homestay surrounded by views of the mountain.

We had the most wonderful stay in the Azores, and much of it was thanks to our incredible host Cosmin. From the very beginning, his responsiveness and warm, engaging communication gave us a glimpse of what to expect—even before we met in person. His desire to make our stay as comfortable as possible, offering thoughtful advice and recommendations, helped us navigate this beautiful island.
It felt like we were not just staying somewhere, but making a wonderful friend who added depth and joy to our trip.
On the practical side, we had the entire first level to ourselves, complete with a private entrance, an outdoor terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, and a cozy bedroom. Everything was impeccably clean, comfortable, and uniquely beautiful. And the views from the terrace were simply stunning. I couldn't stop taking pictures...
Our stay in Vista do Topo was truly unforgettable, and we are so grateful for the warmth and hospitality we experienced.

Our stay at Quinta Atlantis was perfect, the location is great for exploring the eastern part of the island, the house and room were clean and spacious and the home made breakfast was excellent! Adelia and Guy are great hosts and gave us plenty of advice for exploring the surroundings.
It is like a homestay, well with enough privacy. The best of this accomodation is the host himself. We appreciated his recommendation for activities, sites to vist and for restaurants (insider tips) and the nice conversations with him. The breakfast was served in the garden with view at the ocean.
Mr. Rodrigo is an exceptional, kind-hearted person and a great host. The house was lovely and full of live. Overall, a really wonderful stay! Oh, and we enjoyed the breakfast a lot as well! Obrigada :)
One of the best accommodations we have ever stayed in. Huge vila with everything you need. Super comfy bed, enough space for everything. Fully equipped kitchen with some nice touches like fruit from the garden or seasoning for your salad. Parking on the premises. Eduarda was such lovely host. I could stay there forever. :) Thank you.
