The location was amazing but sadly there were no refreshments, no soap or toiletries, no water to drink, no kettle, no standard hot chocolate, tea or coffee in the room and there was no hot water working for a shower. We had to ask for this to be checked.

What a beautiful place! It is very well kept or perhaps newly renovated. White marble and stylish Christmas decorations in the hallways. It is clear that they try their best to make it look neat. It appears very clean as well.
I appreciated the fridge, the porcelain for 2, the black out curtains, the small balcony, and the lift.
A relatively big bathroom with good water pressure in the shower, plenty of hot water, and well-functioning drains. And very clean!

Quiet, minimal, good en-suite facilities. It was all dealt with and paid for online, so we didn’t interact with anyone. Access to the hotel and room was by code!
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Property is located near a supermarket, bus stop and with a parking lot available too. It is spacious and equipped with all necessary items for a comfortable stay.
We were welcomed by the lovely host who explained us everything we needed to know, and went out of her way to return my lost items back on a later date. She was very communicative and friendly, all of my questions were answered.
The apartment is very light and big. We loved the different areas that were created (watch tv, read a book, play pool, ...) Everything we needed was there, the place is well equiped. I loved watching the people walk by on the square below us. Ruben was a great host, it was very easy to get in touch with him.
Very beautiful spacious room, nice interieur with style and lots of wooden furniture/elements, hot and strong shower, shared, well equipped kitchen (i liked the different teas you can combine with a description of their medicinal use), a really beautiful terrace, everything immaculate clean, perfect location in the center of machico but absolutely quiet, near to the beach, cafes, restaurants, bus stop etc., all not more than 3min away, and last but not least a very lovely host. Everything you need for a good vacation in Madeira, if you want to feel the real, not the touristic, Madeira. The kindest host, truly welcoming and warm attitude. The restaurant serves traditional Madeira cuisine, locals also love this place. Fantastic location with the superb views.

The accommodation is located in the garden of the owners. It is conveniently close to the airport and big supermarkets, but definitely a 'quiet place'. The apartment is very comfortable, you can sit outside in the beautiful garden and the lovely hosts will do everything they can to ensure you enjoy your stay. Would definitely recommend!
