What we liked was: cleanliness, nice view, all sorts of little things for a comfortable stay. There is a common pool, we didn't use it, but it looks good. Large space. Towels, blankets, all necessary utensils.

Great accommodation, my wish was fulfilled with a room facing the ocean. Very comfortable and clean room as well as the kitchen and laundry room. All well equipped. Cleaning ladies tidy up every day, super friendly and speak well english. You can hear noise from other rooms, but depends on the neighbours. I had great ones, so could sleep well every night. A good restaurant and a small Pastelaria nearby. Overall I loved my stay and miss it already.

- very clean (!), newly & intelligently equipped location, good medium-hard bedding, spacious wardrobe, programmable heater
- shared & well-equipped kitchen downstairs (a total plus for me, to meet & share with other travellers), also nice sitting area in inner court at kitchen but perhaps not during winter
- nice rec area downstairs, but needs heating in winter to use it, so probably not an option during those months
- road ER228 leading to the Encumeada pass starts right behind the house
- very responsive and kind host
All in all: a clear 9-10 (I suppose) for summer & spring use, an 8 only for winter use (see also below "cons"), which is why I gave an 8. But I did love this place quite a lot!

The house is big and definitely has character! The living room and the kitchen provide everything you need. Nice to have a private bedroom and bathroom.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Private garden with view and everything you need in the apartment. We spend all evenings in the garden which was very relaxing and peaceful. Everything was very clean and Zeza is a great host. We were welcomed with flowers. It is a perfect spot to explore the island.
And we loved the neighbours cat who came to visit us every day.
We had a great time at Atlantic Rose. Everything was perfect. Davis and his mother are great hosts and very generous. Its perfectly located, near the beach and near Rabacal for hiking tours. One highlight was the delicious cake of Davis mother.

Beautiful view, calm and serene place to stay. I really enjoyed waking up here, watching the sun rise behind the mountain and having some breakfast on the balcony. The bed was great, slept very well. Very clean place and lovely host.
Definitely would stay here again, it is even better than it shows in the pictures ( view from terrace was exceptional) , and couldn't have been cleaner. It had everything we needed and more. Luis was a great host and went out of his way to make our time there perfect and made us feel very welcome.
