This is a great place to stay in Maskeliya. It's located on the edge of town, so it's really quiet. At the same time, it's close to the center (5 Min. walking distance). The hosts are very friendly and will gladly help you arrange tours to Adam's Peak and other attractions in the vicinity. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfy. The WiFi works. It's not fast enough to do video calls but since you're here for vacation and not for work, that's not a problem. I recommend staying here and will glady come back!

Very friendly staff, arranged a tuk-tuk for me from Hatton station and back. Both drivers showed me exceptional places for photos, stopped along the way and gave me time to take photos and enjoy the beautiful view. the rooms are excellent for this price range, there is hot water and everything you need, everything is clean. Located in a couple of hundred meters from the start of the trail to Adam's Peak, the climb took only about 2 hours 15 minutes. Happy with everything - definitely would recommend it. Sorry for photos of the wild, didn’t take any picture at the hotel, was in a little hurry.

I recently stayed at Hotel Nallathanniya: Queen’s Ark, and it was a pleasant experience. The owner is friendly and welcoming. The room was simple, which met my expectations for the price.
The location is a major highlight—perfectly positioned as a starting point for the walk to Adam’s Peak, making it very convenient for early-morning hikers. The pricing is reasonable, offering good value for money considering its strategic location.
Overall, a good choice for those looking for a practical place to stay near the trailhead.

The owner was very helpful and attentive. He made sure my stay was comfortable. 5 mts walk to the city center. Steep climb to the property, I took a tuck tuck only US 0.50 cents from the train station.
Owner arranged for breakfast and dinner at a restaurant next door.

Ishara was fabulous, very sweet, cooked us an amazing Sri Lankan dinner, felt like a home stay. She organised our trip to Adam’s Peak at 2am. Very accommodating when we had to change our plans!
This hostel was one of my favorite stays in Sri Lanka, the host family were very friendly and lovely, the rooms were very clean and airy, and the beds were comfortable to sleep in. By the way, the omelette and vegetable soup cooked by the hostess are delicious, don't miss it! If you come to this town, choosing this hostel must be the right decision.
The food was delicious and very affordable. You need to give the caretaker at least 2 hours notice to prepare meals. The price for this homestay is excellent, but you get what you pay for.
Hamantha is a wonderful owner. He will provide you with insights and guide you to the best places! His English is very good which makes it easy to have conversation about any topic. The Homestay has a 20 year old guess book with National Geographic in it. I had my own bathroom and enough privacy. just a tip: make sure to take the 2nd blanket that you are being offered. Sometimes in the night it can get cold.
The staff is very helpful and friendly.. We had a big problem with our car on our way and we couldnt repair it..The owner has fixed the problem, taking whole responsibility while giving us peace of mind to climb Adam's peak..The rooms are super clean and food is delicious..The garden is so calm n beautiful... This place is giving the feeling of a loving home...We had a great experience at Narra Homestay!
Situated in a beautiful location a few minutes away from the reservoir. Lovely hosts. This Guesthouse and area warrants two nights but, like us, most people only plan for the one so they can complete Adam's Peak. They know some lovely tuktuk drivers to take you there.
