Great location in Koyasan - close to bus stops, Okunoin and beautiful area. The owner is from Koyasan so very knowledgeable about the area. Get the breakfast - it is freshly prepared for you in the morning. If you wanted to try a capsule inn - this is the place to do it. Clean, safe, comfortable, interesting people. A very unique experience and looking forward to staying there again!

The guesthouse is in a central location and all the important sights can be reached on foot. It's really a beautiful scenery, well worth the visit. The room was really spacious and comfortable, very clean. The host was super kind and helpful and told us about many things we could see and do. Definitely recommended!

The host Paola was amazingly gracious and very attentive. The space is very clean and comfortable. You get access to a really nice living space, and the outdoor garden where she grows food is lovely to sit in. The bathroom includes an ofuro which was very relaxing at the end of a busy day. I felt like a very-well-cared-for houseguest in someone's very cozy home.
The location is a bit farther out from most of the sites, that said, it's no more than a 10 minutes walk or so from the center and frequent bus stop locations; it was no problem. Also it is next to the start of a nice trail at Diamon gate (be sure to get yourself a map at the visitor's information center).

Welcoming, and authentic experience. Plenty of space and restrooms. Each room was air conditioned. I enjoyed the dinner and breakfast meal of vegan food, and the morning Buddhist ceremony was wonderful to witness and be a part of their daily mantra. Kumagaiji is Very close to Okunion Cemetary for a nice walk with rich history.

Beautiful property with very large and nicely renovated rooms. Located right in the middle of the historic district, and the view of the mountains from the room is a phenomenal touch. Shogo was very friendly and helpful, and was quick to provide recommendations for places to visit nearby. Easily one of my favorite stays in Japan!!

We appreciated the history of the house and the amazing food! Additionally, the hosts were extremely accommodating, providing a ride to places you wouldn’t get to see through the public transit and even providing a ride to the house when we failed to get there ourselves. We were also provided a tour of some of the highlights of the town and surroundings, as well as fireworks for the night.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Tommy is a great host! The room was very clean, bigger than japsn standards and had everything you need on vacation. Tommy gave us a lot of useful info so that we managed to attened the fire cerimony and the chanting cerimony all for free.
If i ever go back to Koyasan, I'll book this accomodation again.
Great hosts, good location, very clean and comfortable. Lucky to have their restaurant on site for dinner - one of nicest meals we had in Japan - that is, home cooked by Guest House owner, an outstanding chef.
Comfortable room and great hosts. Incredibly helpful to us even after we checked out and returned to collect our left bags soaking wet after getting caught in the rain. Our host provided towels and heating for us to dry out and warm up. The restaurant was great as well. Highly recommend.
