The room is fine. The mattress is so stiff and firm. It is like you are sleeping on some hard board. During my stay, there is heat wave. It is getting hot and hotter. The room itself absorbs heat and at night it is getting extra hot. In addition, there is non stop wedding which they celebrate at night till to the morning 3 am. Every single night, they play several traditional India instruments just to congratulate the bride and groom. Plus, I am there for praying at Mahabodhi temple. With that level of noise, I can't sleep most of my night. I fall asleep by the morning. On the morning, there is a school downstair near Rahul. So, the parents come every day to drop off their kids at school and extremely noisy. So, I have to pluck my earbuds just to get some sleep. So, not recommend if you want some quiet alone time and some sleep. I am sure this is not what you are looking for. The owner is nice. But, with that nice alone, it won't solve this matter. They clean the guest house every single day. So, it is hard to see dust in this guest house.

The place is near the town but still out in the countryside, peaceful and serene. Kitchen facilities are available and the place is clean. You can also order food from a nearby restaurant or visit one of the many locations within walking distance. Maha Bodhi temple is also an easy walk, and transportation is readily available for longer tours. Buddhist monasteries from many countries dot the landscape. Enjoy your stay!

Probably our best stay in all of India! We arrived in Gaya on the train after 3am. Sumit the owner waited for us to arrive and helped us navigate with our tuk tuk driver from the station. The location is walking distance to restaurants and temples. Room was.perfectly clean, and the AC was great! I would recommend for single travelers or couples. Wonderful and welcoming family that owns the homestay.

Everything was good only one problem I got was I got my AC room on the top floor which was very tried for me to come up & down. But the family who run the home stay are very wonderful people
It's cheap, spacious, quiet (there was only one other guest), family-run, in the village. Local people doing their own stuff. The hard bed was good to me. There's a kitchen with a refrigerator and a small cooker to use. By paying more attention to few aspects and adding few more services, Sujata Buddha Homestay can be really appealing for travellers who look for accommodation off the tourist zone but still at a reasonable distance from the main attractions.
The homestay was situated near Mahabodhi Bihar, just a short walk from the Bihar and other eateries. I chose this place because they offered an early morning checkin. Sunita aunty was very warm with us. The room and bed linens were clean, and the AC worked fine. We were provided with necessary amenities such as tissues, soaps, glasses, and even mosquito nets. My mom really enjoyed the experience.
This was a really friendly little homestay and excellent value for money. It's only a few minutes walk from various places to eat, and about 10-15 mins walk from the temples around town.

I have no words to describe how good is this place!! The vibe, the people I've met there, the food... Everything is great! Arman is a great host and also cooks very well! He is always making sure everything is ok!! I have spent 5 nights there and I am very glad for that!! I'll be back to Hostel Osara for sure!!

About the location, what many people mention: there is nothing wrong with the road, you can easily drive here. If you have any issues with locals living outside the hotel, then don't visit Bodh Gaya!
This is the type of place you can stay to decompress for a long time, there is much less motor traffic on this side of the dry river and it has the homestay vibe here. Laundry and good food available.
