My stay at Marina Homestay was one of my highlights of my India trip and I can highly recommend this stay to any foreigner looking for a clean and budget friendly stay.
The room was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed. The best part was the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. They helped me organise a complicated transportation to another city, took me to the city of Bodh Gaya with a motorbike and even invited me for breakfast and dinner. They also invited me to visit a local school which was a very cool experience.

The host and his lovely family made our stay in Bodh Gaya exceptional. They were super nice, caring and nothing was an issue. The room was clean, comfortable and we even had hot water, which is pretty rare in India. They also had a spacious rooftop where you can practice yoga like we did. And his family's chai was amazing! Probably our best stay in all of India! We arrived in Gaya on the train after 3am. Sumit the owner waited for us to arrive and helped us navigate with our tuk tuk driver from the station. The location is walking distance to restaurants and temples. Room was.perfectly clean, and the AC was great! I would recommend for single travelers or couples. Wonderful and welcoming family that owns the homestay.

Everything was good only one problem I got was I got my AC room on the top floor which was very tried for me to come up & down. But the family who run the home stay are very wonderful people
It's cheap, spacious, quiet (there was only one other guest), family-run, in the village. Local people doing their own stuff. The hard bed was good to me. There's a kitchen with a refrigerator and a small cooker to use. By paying more attention to few aspects and adding few more services, Sujata Buddha Homestay can be really appealing for travellers who look for accommodation off the tourist zone but still at a reasonable distance from the main attractions.
The homestay was situated near Mahabodhi Bihar, just a short walk from the Bihar and other eateries. I chose this place because they offered an early morning checkin. Sunita aunty was very warm with us. The room and bed linens were clean, and the AC worked fine. We were provided with necessary amenities such as tissues, soaps, glasses, and even mosquito nets. My mom really enjoyed the experience.
This was a really friendly little homestay and excellent value for money. It's only a few minutes walk from various places to eat, and about 10-15 mins walk from the temples around town.

I have no words to describe how good is this place!! The vibe, the people I've met there, the food... Everything is great! Arman is a great host and also cooks very well! He is always making sure everything is ok!! I have spent 5 nights there and I am very glad for that!! I'll be back to Hostel Osara for sure!!

About the location, what many people mention: there is nothing wrong with the road, you can easily drive here. If you have any issues with locals living outside the hotel, then don't visit Bodh Gaya!
This is the type of place you can stay to decompress for a long time, there is much less motor traffic on this side of the dry river and it has the homestay vibe here. Laundry and good food available.
