Lovely quiet location on a rural lane with dairy cattle in the fields next to the house and magnificent country views on all sides- and yet only a few miles drive from the A30. Breakfast was fantastic: cereals, fruit, yoghurt, hot croissants and toast with plenty of jam/marmalade, butter, fresh milk and tea/coffee.

Close to everything. Wonderful couple Jackie and Robin helped us very much with a transportation issue. We really were helped by them. Highest rating I can give for these two fine people. A+

Lovely host, really lovely decor (traditional but not fusty), great breakfast, and a lovely quiet and clean room.

Nice cosy and clean room (and bathroom) - everything was spick and span. Good (vegan) breakfast options, though would've been nice if there were more savoury choices (there was only one, which I didn't have).
Excellent location as Princetown is in the centre of the moors, providing easy access all around.
Richard and Caroline were friendly and courteous, making the entire stay pleasant.

Great location close to the crossroads in the center of Dartmoor. 5 minute drive from Wistman's Wood, and very close to many other fantastic locations as well. (Note that the attached photo was taken with a zoom lens from the edge of the wood, please do not walk into the wood!)
There are many excellent framed photographs hanging all over the hotel from local landscape photographer Greg Braund.
The drying room was fantastic and really useful since it was a very wet weekend!
Owner Nikki was nice and very hospitable.
The hot tub is great, and really huge!
Comfy beds.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Quiet location just what I needed after a day on the road but close to A30 to get away in the morning.
Evening meal and breakfast couldn't fault, and Natasha was a great host at the hotel
Natasha & Colin were great hosts. B&B is new and very clean. Great shower. Fresh milk as opposed to the long life sachets for tea & coffee in room. Great breakfast. Small village but food available at B&B or nearby village.
There are stairs to negotiate with the bags (manageable)

We enjoyed our one night stay
Everything.
10/10 this place is perfect in every way. Rural, quiet, spotless, comfortable, great gardens and views. A real home from home
Lovely hosts who have covered everything you could ever need. Loved the chickens
We will be booking again.
didn't have to pay for WiFi. The access to walks on Dartmoor were exellent, especially Lydford Gorge.
The room was prepared by the time we arrived and was super clean. Breakfast was really delicious and plentiful.
What sold it for us is its super pet friendly (except the breakfast room which is fair) and Maya our border collie loved staying there, plenty of garden to run around.
Jakes and Jane were lovely hosts, thank you both ❤️
