As soon as we stepped into their garden we felt at home. Poppy, our labrador, loved it, she could run free around the garden.

A lovely family house with attentive hosts, lots of animals around, comfy bed, and quiet at night. Train transportation is very easy and fast to Bilbao and elsewhere too. We were welcome to use the shared kitchen for some simple meals.

Wonderful location at Plaza Nueva! All the busy noise and loud people on the square were very nice to experience, luckily you don’t hear a sound in the rooms! All sightseeings on walking distance. A lot of restaurants, bars and pinchos-bars in the area.
The room is small, as is the bathroom, but the bed is comfortable. Everything you need for a citytrip. There is no personnel, entrance protocol is send before arrival.
Best to arrive by public transport, since the pension is in the centre of the old town.
Casual Gurea is located in Bilbao’s old town, just 50 metres from the Cathedral and 250 metres from Abando Train Station. It offers a tour desk and rooms with free WiFi.

The room was clean and comfortable.
Also, the hotel was next door to a place that made wonderful, fresh salads--which was a very nice from the pinchos served everywhere. (And, yes, I think I have eaten every type of Spanish pincho known to chefs.)
