The house is beautiful, spacious, and comfortable, with a large living and dining area. The kitchen is super well-equipped. In addition to air conditioning, the wood fireplace and electric blankets on each bed kept us very warm during the cold days. The location is quiet yet conveniently close to Franz Josef Glacier and Fox Glacier. We would definitely love to come back!

The villa offers bed linen, towels and laundry service. This is quite simply one of the most fantastic places I have ever stayed. Harold House has been restored to immaculate condition. When we arrived, we spent ages simply wandering around marvelling at these gorgeous, well-appointed rooms and all the fascinating heritage features and items. The location is very convenient in Reefton township, but also quiet. If you are visiting the West Coast, I highly recommend staying here; we wished we had booked longer—in terms of accommodation, it was the best of our entire road trip around the South Island.
