Very decent size house with a large lounge/kitchen space, 3 big rooms, and 2 spacious bathrooms! Fire place with heaps of woods prepared in the garage. Fast wifi, oh, the last room, which is at the end of the corridor, doesn't get strong wifi, but it didn't really bother much. Really nice host with a prompt response. A few days before our booking, there was an unexpected road closure. I got worried and texted Mel. She was super helpful, giving all the details and information that she could get. From that information, she said that the road work would be done before my check-in date. And she kept me posted until the road work was finally done, which was really kind. (In the end, the road reopened even before the scheduled date.) We absolutely loved this place. So happy that we could make it to Franz Josef! As soon as we checked in, I contacted Mel to extend our stay, but sadly, it was already booked(no wonder!) I'm definitely coming back when I'm back in town next time =)

A beautifully restored villa, ensuring comfort with modern kitchen and bathroom and double glazing and comfortable beds. Furnishings and bricabrac were wonderful. A house full of treasures. Top quality food provided for breakfast. Highly recommended.

Beauteous space, artistic, serene, one with the surroundings! The space told a story and inspired me. Everything you need, Reba thought of. The place was adorned with two flower arrangements she put together. Would love to return!

So comfortable, heated bathroom floors, super comfortable beds and extremely clean. Showers have great pressure and ample warmth for the 5 of us to take short showers. Tracey was responsive, positive and prepared the house for us so it was nice and warm.

Set 40 km from Greymouth Railway Station and providing a garden, B&B on Hoffman offers accommodation in Hokitika. A fire had already been prepared for lighting in the energy efficient fireplace. That set the stage for a cozy evening. A wide selection of breakfast supplies, food and drink were available for us.Everything a traveller might need was thought of, including phone chargers and laundry facilities. It was like a home away from home.
