We were greeted by Seiko who gave us the key and she was the perfect host during our stay. The house is a renovated akiya and it has been done to such a high standard! It is so comfortable and we had a really great time! There is also a really cute coffee shop next door and the lady who runs it sells great coffee and food, and is really friendly! The location is fantastic as it is so close to the nature in the region in order to get out and explore! We had a motorcycle and it was great to be located on the edge of the city so that we could head out on adventures! All in all, I would 100% recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants a comfortable stay in Shimanto City!

We also enjoyed the proximity to the town and the beach. The location is great. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. We will definitely book again!

A recently renovated holiday home located in Otoyocho, Oyamanoyado Michitsuji features a garden. This property offers access to a terrace, table tennis, free private parking and free WiFi. AMAZING! The hosts are wonderful and lovely. We were greeted as friends. The views are amazing and the traditional guest house is very well kept and maintained. And the FOOD! WOW! The food was delicious and as good as you would get in the best of restaurants! It was great to get to eat with and talk with our hosts so we could better understand each other’s cultures and experiences. Such a highlight of our journey to Japan. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Go off the beaten path a little to better understand this beautiful country.
