Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Upper Gelli Luxury Holiday Lodge, Converted Dairy & Cosy Shepherds Huts is a recently renovated holiday home situated in Welshpool, 19 km from Dolforwyn... The entire property was lovely, quiet and relaxing. The views were beautiful. Both the sauna and hot tub were of high quality. The property was also within 20mins of various farm shops and attractions. The host was very welcoming and attentive. We received a very detailed welcome pack with map pins for local points of interest and farm shops.

Y Star, a property with a shared lounge, is set in Dylife, 39 km from Elan Valley, 46 km from Aberystwyth Golf Club, as well as 45 km from Clarach Bay. Lovely place with absolutely great hosts who create an unique and friendly atmosphere, they are very communicative and will help with anything they can Breakfast was delicious and freshly made The room was bigger than I expected, with 2 beds and a little desk, spacious bathroom with great products Views are absolutely magnificent, at night the sky full of stars and the hills during the day WiFi was free and of high speed, no problem with watching 4K movies

Everything we weary travellers needed! And, a bonus there: a shelf filled with maps, guide Books and ideas what to do and where to go! Bed comfy, bedlinen and towels as in best Hotels. Shower felt luxurious, plenty of hot water. Easy to heat up the lounge area with a little electric fire, important on wet days! Top tip: BlackLion neighbouring pub has delicious food and great atmosphere, good for dinner. Go and find out, worth it.

The location was absolutely fantastic - so easy to reach pretty much anywhere else in the town. Very handy to have the Spar next door. It was very quiet despite being on one of the main roads. In terms of the place itself - it was so clean and well appointed. It had basically anything we could need, including very thoughtful extras like local milk and bread.

The cottage was amazing and the facilities were a great addition. The view was outstanding, watching the sun rise every morning from the cottage window was beautiful. Having access to the spa and pool after a day of exploring helped us to relax and unwind. The children loved having their own upstairs space along with all the outside space for playing and running around.

Hay Retreats, a property with a garden, is set in Hay-on-Wye, 3.8 km from Clifford Castle, 13 km from Kinnersley Castle, as well as 19 km from Longtown Castle. A spacious and clean apartment with plenty of room for our family of four. We really enjoyed the location just around the corner from the main clock tower, and luckily in town during the Thursday farmers market, which was lovely. The apartment was well furnished with comfy couch and two arm chairs on main floor (with plenty of board games to keep us occupied), full size dining table on bottom floor with a large outdoor area overlooking the river and large kitchen. Bedrooms were comfy and our kids loved their twin bedded room. Overall, a fantastic stay!

Gorgeous house - fab location, fully stocked kitchen, parking nearby, comfy beds, responsive lovely hosts. Would recommend to anyone!
