Delicious breakfast. Parking available. Local SPA services near the hotel. Safari tour also amazing. The guide was perfect - tried hard to show us as many animals as possible and tell us interesting things about them. Seemd also a very nice person. Jeep very comfortable.

If I could give this hotel 20 stars, I would. What a great finding. The bed is the BEST we’ve had in Sri Lanka, shower pressure was AMAZING, everything super clean sheets, towels and room. The view is great, with the green scenery. Breakfast is also very plentiful and delicious. For dinner and lunch, the location is also perfect once it’s walking distance to the 2 best restaurants in the region. They have the best safari prices as well, he has 2 great cars and is very experienced Now talking about the owners: 2 great human beings, that besides taking care of their guests, they also take care of the poor dogs of the regions. They cook them food twice a day, took some to the vet, helped stray cats, and call animals their friends. I fell in love with this place and would not think about staying anywhere else. Thank you 🤍

Sachith made sure that our stay was good not only in Uda Walawe but in whole of Sri Lanka. He made sure we get comfortable and value for money transportation throughout our Sri Lanka Trip. The home cooked food was authentic and tasty.

One of the best stays I've had in the Sri Lanka. The tree house was magical and the service was terrific. They organized everything I needed to have a great safari experience.

Dasun, his family and friends are really nice people. They helped us to organise tha safari, the driver was also absolutely nice with us, we had a great trip. Dasun's mom made us always a huge and extremely good meal. The cottage was also really nice and comfortable. We absolutely recommend the place!:)

We had a wonderfull stay here for 2 days. The family is very warm and welcoming and takes really good care of you. Amila's wife is a great cook, we loved all the meals we had! One of our children needs to eat glutenfree and she made sure she could eat safely and very tastefully. Amila taught us how to play carrom, a fun boardgame.The river at the end of the garden where you can swim, looks like a scene in Junglebook with vivid coloured birds flying by, and monkeys swinging through the trees above you! Places like the elephant transit home, safaritours and ancient temple are really close. We would defintely recommand this homestay!

Everything about this place was fantastic! Very nice owner, who made sure we had a wonderful stay. Free bikes to use. Delicious breakfast! It's an excellent and peaceful location with a beautiful view of the river. The room was spacious and very clean. Would highly recommend staying here if you come to Udawalawe. HOW TO GET THERE: If you're coming by bus from Thanamalwila, insist the busdriver to stop at the busstop of Udawalawe Hydro Power Plant at the mainroad, it's a 30min walk from there. Otherwise the busdriver seems to drop off all tourists at the junction which is 4km away, collaborating with the tuktuks as you have no other option than to take an overpriced tuktuk. If you travel onward to Embilipitiya, the busstop is just a 5 min walk from the mainroad of the accomodation. Turn left and walk to the bridge. It's the starting point of the bus to Embilipitiya, where you can take another bus to the south/Tangalle.
