However the top reason to stay here is the wonderfully friendly owners and the beautiful food served for both dinner and breakfast. Simply lovely, helpful people. A fantastic experience not to be missed

Em Murayama, na área de Yamagata, Yamagata Guesthouse山形ゲストハウス encontra-se a 5 minutos a pé de Estação Ferroviária Murayama. Perfect base for seeing Ginzan onsen, Yamadera, and other attractions. The owners are super friendly and provide great restaurant recommendations. Make sure you take advantage of the free shuttle to Ginzan onsen - just book ahead of time

Em Zao Onsen, a cerca de 6 minutos a pé de Estância de Esqui Zao Hotsprings, Pension Puutaro dispõe de um jardim, quartos não fumador, acesso Wi-Fi gratuito em toda a propriedade e um restaurante. Everything very clean. Very large room for single or 2 persons, can probably fit a whole family. Keiko was super nice and helpful and had great suggestions for restaurants. There’s just a lot of attention to every detail overall. The toilets even had the highest quality toilet paper I’ve ever seen in Japan😀 The price in summer/off season was very fair. There is no AC but it should unusually not be needed. Even when it was 37 degree in Tokyo it was only 25 in Zao onsen.

A lovely and heartwarming place to stay for a winter getaway. The couple that owns this business made us feel like family. Mao and Qu are so kind and welcoming. They treated us like family. They picked us up from the bus station, drove us to a wonderful dinner location (which they recommended), drove us to the ski resort, and helped with all our luggage. I was so happy to meet them and talk with them. The room is just as warm as the owners. The floors are heated and the beds are very comfortable. I wish I could’ve stayed longer.

GUEST HOUSE BLUE DOORS - Vacation STAY 73130v encontra-se em Yamagata. Spacious, comfortable for family/friend group. All necessary amenities provided. There are many car parks in the area if you are traveling with multiple vehicles. The owners were very friendly, welcoming and generous.

Zao Pension Aramiya - Vacation STAY 86181v encontra-se em Kaminoyama, a 2,2 km de Estância de Esqui Zao Hotsprings, e apresenta acomodações com acesso Wi-Fi gratuito e estacionamento privado gratuito.... The food was amazing! I came here for Christmas to see some snow and stayed 2 nights. Both nights the food was soo good and there was soo much. I also had breakfast included and that was good too. The hosts are lovely and even with the language barrier we used translate apps to talk and I had a great time. The house is old and wooden with kerosene heaters, its not super fancy but the blankets on the bed were warm and fluffy, so with a belly full of great food and snow falling outside I slept really well. They even drove me to the bus terminal the day I left. 10/10 highly recommend, especially for the food.

Daichan Farm Guest House localiza-se em Asahi-machi, a 39 km de Estância de Esqui Zao Hotsprings, e fornece acomodações com bicicletas gratuitas, estacionamento privado gratuito, um jardim e um salão... The owner is welcoming and enthusiastic. The meals were home-cooked, and quite delightful. The owner helped us facilitate a side trip in the area, very kindly. It's a remote rural location, which has its own beauty.

Ohanabatake encontra-se em Tsuruoka, a 17 km de Aquário Kamo, e apresenta acomodações com um jardim e estacionamento privado gratuito. Very warm place, the host is a kind gentleman and really care about his guest. The room is big for solo traveller, although no air-conditioner but the room is cool and I can sleep well every night. There are no restaurants or shop nearby, yet I am bycycle traveller and there is a big supermarket 3km nearby only take 15mintues ride :)
