Ho han posat molt fàcil. El senyor de la casa m’ha explicat tot molt bé per a que de forma autònoma puguis utilitzar els espais de cuina i com funciona tot. L’organització és molt bona, ja que hi ha cartells que t’indiquen com funciona tot i els preus de les coses, on deixaràs els diners en les capsetes que hi ha, conforme el queconsumeixis. També pots sopar amb ells; quan jo hi he anat deixes un diners a voluntat. El Sopar va ser deliciós, fet amb molt d’amor:) i la companyia encara més. Ens vam comunicar amb traductor però ens vam entendre molt bé. Tinc un record preciós, moltes gràcies! Si torno a Yamagata repeteixo. A més tenen una gateta molt espavilada:)!

Wonderful stay, very pleasant staff with good communication skills for multiple languages, affordable, clean, great meal service! Would recommend to everyone.

To stay in a traditional setting really made our visit to Dewa Sanzan area special. The dinner options where all the food is locally sourced and prepared- incredible experience.

Only a 1-minute walk from the Zao Onsen Ski resort, Pension Puutaro offers Japanese-style rooms, a French course for dinner and free Wi-Fi. As well as having a separate entrance to the dry room, the location is very close to the ski slopes.

A lovely and heartwarming place to stay for a winter getaway. The couple that owns this business made us feel like family. Mao and Qu are so kind and welcoming. They treated us like family. They picked us up from the bus station, drove us to a wonderful dinner location (which they recommended), drove us to the ski resort, and helped with all our luggage. I was so happy to meet them and talk with them. The room is just as warm as the owners. The floors are heated and the beds are very comfortable. I wish I could’ve stayed longer.

All necessary amenities provided. There are many car parks in the area if you are traveling with multiple vehicles. The owners were very friendly, welcoming and generous.

Situated in Kaminoyama, 2.2 km from Zao Onsen Ski Resort, Zao Pension Aramiya - Vacation STAY 86181v features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The food was amazing! I came here for Christmas to see some snow and stayed 2 nights. Both nights the food was soo good and there was soo much. I also had breakfast included and that was good too. The hosts are lovely and even with the language barrier we used translate apps to talk and I had a great time. The house is old and wooden with kerosene heaters, its not super fancy but the blankets on the bed were warm and fluffy, so with a belly full of great food and snow falling outside I slept really well. They even drove me to the bus terminal the day I left. 10/10 highly recommend, especially for the food.

Set in Tsuruoka in the Yamagata region, 大聖坊 Daishobo offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. I felt like family and yet had all the privacy I required. The Master was gracious to include me in the morning prayers. This stay was the best possible addition to my time on Mt Haguro and learning lore about the spirituality of the Yamabushi and the DewaSanzan. The food was incredible, so healthy and much was grown locally. It was the best place I stayed in my two weeks in Japan.
