Uchi is situated in Matsushima, 200 metres from Zuigan-ji Temple. Guests can enjoy listening to music or watching TV in the common area. You will find a shared lounge at the property. The owner speaks excellent English and was very helpful throughout our stay. We had a room next to the bathroom which made using the shared facilities easier (but being Japan these are very clean). The owner offered us some plum wine as a welcome. Parking is in a line outside the house so you need to juggle cars a bit but it wasn't a problem as the owner was always on hand. Excellent air con which is essential in the summer hear. The property was excellent value and perfectly located for the centre of Matsushima. The property could probably benefit from a common area with coffee / tea making so there is somewhere to sit aside from the rooms. There is such a room but I think it is still being developed.

Guesthouse 66 is situated in Kakuda, 43 km from Sendai City Community Support Center, 42 km from Zuihoden, as well as 43 km from Sendai Station. Our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The guesthouse was about a four minute walk from the train station, and an eleven minute walk to the supermarket. Hiro, the owner, was super nice and friendly ^^
