Now my second time and my go for place to stay on this beautiful island. i enjoy the tatami room, but also there is one room with a western bed. a kitchen with everything what is needed to prepare food and tea / coffee. I hope you enjoy this place like I do.

Beautiful artistic vibe of the place, stunning view of Sakurajima. Love the room decor and atmosphere of the whole building - was a little jarring at first, but the longer I was there, there more appreciative of the little details and the work rhats gone in. It was like staying in an art gallery.

Barbara-san was so kind, friendly, and generous, and we felt so lucky to get to meet her and the others staying at the inn. Great location not far from Miyanoura port, with access to the bus for getting around (with careful planning around the limited schedule), and quick walk to a great beach! A really amazing stay in a very special place. Thanks so much Barbara-san 💗

Really lovely and helpful hosts and the house is very beautiful and clean. I also recommend eating Keihan as a breakfast there, it's a delicious local dish. When I return to Amami, I will definitely stay here again ♥️

Set in Yakushima, within 10 km of Shiratani Unsuikyo and 23 km of Mount Miyanoura, Yakushima Park Guesthouse offers accommodation with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free... Owner was very helpful, accommodating, and communicative, knew little English but used Google translate to bridge the gap. Room and facilities were clean and comfortable shared toilet and shower (not bathhouse style). air conditioning was very effective to keep room cool in middle of summer, and owner will turn it on while you are out so you can come back to a cool room!

Situated in Yakushima, 12 km from Shiratani Unsuikyo, 屋久の宿 たぐち features rooms with air conditioning. They are super nice and the place is super clean. The owner Shigeru-san picked me up from the pier and gave me useful advice for my trip. The next day, I joined Shigeru-san's day tour and he showed me the best parts of Yakushima. I didn't do much researches about Yakushima and it turned out much more beautiful and interesting than I expected. I was so glad that I chose to stay here.

Perfect location and clean room at a very good price. Hospitable host. Shared bathroom but brand new and there are only two other guest rooms, so you never wait long. Room is large with ocean view.

Ubytovanie Guesthouse Coco Garage sa nachádza v destinácii Kirishima 5,8 km od miesta Kirishima Jingu Shrine a 20 km od miesta Ebino Plateau. We spent great moments here. Inside the house, it is pretty warm. There are coffee beans and everything ready for us to make a hand drip coffee. I can’t wait to make one cup. The coffee taste so good and smooth, maybe this is selected beans. I connected the Bluetooth speaker and playing Mayumi Itsuwa’s songs. Music harmonized with the lovely chalet interior, the atmosphere is so relaxing and immersive. Kihara-san is very nice. The Shinyu Onsen he recommended is gorgeous. The hot spring water is wonderful. It is milky-white, so natural and so great. I guess it come from a sulphur spring. In the daytime, we hiked around Onamiike and Ebino Plateau. The crater lake is amazing and there are great views along the trails. At night, we do BBQ in front of the chalet. We rent a Charcoal Konro Grill set, it is really convenient. We bought some Japanese Wagyu beef for yakiniku from supermarket near Kirishima. The beef is yummy, really delicious.

Situated a 15-minute drive from Yakushima Airport, La Isla Tasse is charming accommodation housed in a large American-style mansion. Staying in this beautiful, comfortable, rustic riverside guest house was one of the most notable moments of my whole travels. The lady that runs it is the sweetest and kindest person I have ever met. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring Yakushima and the Jomonsugi hike. The rooms are comfortable and clean as those of any ryokan, and there are large onsen style baths free to use. You absolutely MUST stay here if you plan on staying anywhere on the island. Its worth every yen.

A 3-minute walk from Yakushima Airport, Tomarigi offers a bunk in a dorm room, a garden with a hammock and free Wi-Fi. The host was absolutely lovely! Even though she knew limited English, she tried her best and was extremely charming and welcoming. The facilities are very clean and it was easy to meet and socialise with the other guest. The bathroom is very good too, and you could use the shower if you're not comfortable with the Japanese bath culture of using the same water. Plus, cats are very cute too!
