Offering mountain views, Yakunoyado Taguchi is an accommodation set in Yakushima, 37 km from Yakusugi Land and 1.1 km from Yakushima Environmental Culture Village Center. My room was spacious. The shared spaces are clean and well kept. The location is quiet as it is off the main road, but within walking distance to bus station and a grocery store. The owners are very friendly and offered helpful suggestions for my itinerary. I enjoyed the breakfast and dinner and strongly recommend for those looking for traditional Japanese cooking and a taste of local dishes.
