Located on Miyajima (Itsukushima), Miyajima Guest House Mikuniya offers a Japanese-style accommodation and a small garden. Free Wi-Fi is available. Miyajima Ferry Terminal is a 20-minute walk away. Dinner and breakfast was present free of charge. The staff was very helpful.

Set in Onomichi, 25 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, BONAPOOL offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. Brand new building with a minimal and functional design. The dorms are spacious and had all the necessities: each bed had an electric plug, a shelf and a little safe. Each guest had a basket containing the towels, very useful when going to the shared bathrooms. The bathrooms were also amazing: plenty of space, very clean. The shower had a little entry room where you could store your belongings and offered very good shampoo, conditioner and body soap. There are several common areas but the overall vibe is very quiet and relaxing.

This was a lovely little guesthouse run by Minoru. The property is on the hill on the Mukaihigashi side overlooking Onomichi. The bathrooms were clean and met their purpose. The traditional futon beds and matted rooms were very comfortable. Minoru went over above to make our stay welcome by lending us his bikes to go exploring and for dinner, as well as dropping us at the Ferry Terminal in the morning to start our Shimanami Kaido experience. Unfortunately the Inn is closed for our return or otherwise we would have stayed another night…

Guest house kusunoki（women only） is set in Fukuyama, 8.9 km from Miroku no Sato, 9 km from Jodoji Temple, and 10 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine. Incredibly clean and lots of privacy. The owner goes above and beyond to make sure guests are comfortable. Highly recommend staying here!

The location is unparalleled - best views I've ever seen. It's a lot of stairs but it is so worth it. Breakfast is lovely and you can bring in your own food to eat in the beautiful cafe.

The location is remoted but not too far from the city center just be aware that you need either a taxi a car or a bus ride to get there. The house is great, true japanese country house. Also the owner is a very nice guy he did call 2 taxis for us on the day of the check out because we were travelling with big luggages, he was even ready to drive us to the station himself if he couldn't find any.
