Located on Miyajima (Itsukushima), Miyajima Guest House Mikuniya offers a Japanese-style accommodation and a small garden. Free Wi-Fi is available. Miyajima Ferry Terminal is a 20-minute walk away. The accommodation was clean, beautiful and easy to find. The tatami room is so comfortable and the garden view was stunning. We really enjoy our stay, and will definitely go again!

BONAPOOL ligger i Onomichi, 25 km fra Oogamiyama Omoto-helligdommen, og tilbyder indkvartering med have, gratis privat parkering og terrasse. The view from our semi-double room of the sea was amazing, as well as from most of the front part of the hotel because of the glass all around. The hotel is new (just opened in April, I was told) and modern with a nice pantry on the second floor, in addition to a common kitchen island on the first floor. There was plenty of seating inside the main lobby area as well as outside to gather and relax. On the second floor, there's a balcony with a couple of tables and chairs for drinks and meals, and a bigger table and more chairs in the loft lobby. Yes, there's a lift so cyclists can sleep with their bikes in their room! (Setoda is on the Shimanami Kaido after all) The bathroom are generous in proportion and facilities. The hotel has brand new bikes for free use by the guests, very handy for getting to the town and shops, and for sightseeing. There are lots of nice touches provided by the hotel, like a towel basket for each guest. The furnishing and finishing are simple but immaculate. What else can I say? We didn't want to leave...!

HEM'S HOTEL ligger i Miyajima, 300 m fra Five Storey Pagoda, og tilbyder indkvartering med aircondition og have. Unique hotel in a renovated Japanese home. Great location, quiet. It was very hot so a/c had difficulty keeping up but small issue for us. Great staff who served us a delicious breakfast which was included.

Guest house kusunoki (women only) ligger i Fukuyama, 8,9 km fra Miroku no Sato, 9 km fra Jodoji-templet og 10 km fra Oogamiyama Omoto-helligdommen. Guesthouse Kusunoki was wonderful. The guesthouse was quaint, artistic, and impeccably clean. The owner, Katsumori san, is kind and very detail-oriented, and you can tell that he puts his heart and soul into running this guesthouse. I loved my stay here, it was the highlight of my trip.

The location of this traditional Japanese house is convenient, walking distance to the JR station and the ferry for cycling Shimanami kaido. We were provided with ham, eggs, bread and a fully equipped kitchen to make meals. Very quiet and comfortable stay. Flexible check in time.

Guest House Gamigami har havudsigt og tilbyder indkvartering med have, terrasse og fælles opholdsstue, ca. 3,1 km fra Saikon-ji-templet. lovely host, nice room and good location. Beautiful sunrise in the morning. Perfect base for bicycle trip.

Roku Hostel Hiroshima ligger i Hiroshima, 2,5 km fra Myoei-ji-templet, 2,6 km fra Atomic Bomb Dome og 2,8 km fra Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. Der er have og terrasse. The staff was really accommodating, it's a family-run business and I got a chance to meet both mother and daughter. They could both speak really good English, and were very nice to talk to. I think you can easily realize that the hostel has a bit of a unique style: simple, nothing fancy but really cozy. Great initiative to offer one free drink per night at the bar by the front desk. It creates a cool atmosphere also with other guests. Also, they offer ear-buds, ear-plugs, toothbrush. I was also happy to find shaving gel. I would have easily spent more than one night and I would recommend everyone to stay at Roku! Nice location, walking distance to the main attractions, and close to JR train station and tram stop.

88 House Hiroshima ligger ved siden af en rismark og er et ikkeryger-overnatningssted med gratis WiFi overalt på ejendommen. Ejendommen ligger 25 minutters bustur fra JR Hiroshima Station. Such a beautiful place to stay, very easy to get to from Hiroshima station. I loved getting to stay in a quieter part of Hiroshima. The guesthouse was so clean and quiet and peaceful. Phenomenal hike that's just a few minutes walk from the guesthouse that isn't too long and had stunning views. Highly, highly recommend!

But this is one of the prettiest and cleansest hostels i’ve ever stayed at. You will live a little outside the city, but very easy to get to center with only needing to go 1 stop on the train leaving quite often. About 40 min with train + tram to Museum and park. Very sweet lady running the place, and the hostel is absolutly stunning and incredibly clean. Free washer and dryer + good kitchen. Also great restaurant attached that opens about 17.

Set in Onomichi, 2.6 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine and 5 km from Saikon-ji Temple, しまの宿 Island Country Inn offers spacious air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. We chose to stay here in advance of doing the Shimanami Kaido cycle from Onomichi, in order to get to Mukaishima, you will need to exit Onomichi station, cross over the footbridge and go onto the ferry which costs 100 yen per person. I would recommend calling ahead while you are waiting for the ferry to allow time for pickup. Yuji, Junko and Akana were extremely welcoming hosts providing door to door service and a lovely home cooked breakfast with actual proper bread!! for only 500 yen per person. For 2 people you have your own bedroom and living room. Well worth staying here especially if you want a more personal experience.
