Guesthouse SHIGI is located in Nakatsugawa, 46 km from Gero Station, 7.7 km from Toson Memorial Museum, as well as 7.7 km from Magome Wakihonjin Museum. What a pleasure to stay at Guesthouse SHIGI. I had the chance to have this beautiful, tastefully decorated old house all by myself on the night I stayed there. I loved having my breakfast in the big sunny kitchen with stunning views on the mountains and traditional garden while listening to cool vinyls on the record player. In addition to having an eye for (vintage) detail, the owners are also super friendly and make good recommendations. Atsushi san offered to drive me to Magome as I was planning to hike the Nakasendo trail and I also had a really great night following his advice to go for a beer at the nearby Cafe & Second Hand Shop 42! A good location for a stress-free stay in Hashima, ゲストハウス岐阜羽島心音 Guest House Gifuhashima COCONE is a guest house surrounded by views of the city. All great, friendly staff and a nice clean place. Great value.

In the Magome district of Nakatsugawa, close to Magome Wakihonjin Museum, Guest House Motomiya has a garden and a washing machine. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional !!! Best meal I’ve had on trip ! So artfully presented and delicious. Room was spacious and bed exceptionally. comfortable !!

Featuring mountain views, Guest House Hinode offers accommodation with free bikes, a garden and a shared lounge, around 2.6 km from Takayama Station. Great service by the owner. We could do the check in earlier. He explained all so kindly and everything was so clean and in a respectful environment. He drove us in the morning to the station

Offering mountain views, Guesthouse Nedoko is an accommodation situated in Nakatsugawa, 200 metres from Magome Observatory and 100 metres from Magome Wakihonjin Museum. What a lovely and memorable stay! Waking up to an incredible mountain view was a beautiful way to start the day, especially while enjoying a cup of coffee and cereal (which were provided free of charge). The room was not only super clean, but also very spacious. I was pleasantly surprised by how great the bunk beds were. The comforter and pillow were of excellent quality, and the bunk bed had a reading light – a small touch that made a big difference. The guesthouse had a variety of games and books available in the common area. The communal kitchen was also well-stocked, with a fridge full of ice-cold beverages that could be settled upon checkout. The guesthouse manager was extremely helpful and assisted us with ordering food at "Ontaya" restaurant. Using a QR code web link, we were able to place our food and drink order ahead of time and thus was already being prepared as we arrived, which saved us from any potential language barriers during the ordering process. I would highly recommend this guesthouse. I remember how pleased I was when a room became available for our desired travel dates walking the Nakasendo trail. I feel very privileged to have have stayed at Guesthouse Nedoko.

Offering a garden and city view, Guesthouse Gifu SUAI is situated in Gifu, 29 km from Nagoya Castle and 30 km from Nagoya Station. The little dog and the place was very clean.

A guest house nestled in the centre of Takayama, Hostel Fish in a River features private parking, free WiFi, a garden and shared lounge. This is such a beautiful property! It was warm and cosy and probably the cleanest accommodation we've ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious and the mattresses are really big, we both had a very good night's sleep! You can walk to the hostel from the bus and train station and it's also 5 minute walk from a huge supermarket. There are also only a very small number of rooms available at the hostel so we were quite lucky to have seen and booked it. Thank you for all your kind hospitality, Taku! We will be back again!
