We are delighted with the friendship and dedication with which the Suhsi House is run. If you want to experience sushi at the next level, you've come to the right place. The sushi master looks at sushi omakase, which roughly means "the chef's choice", i.e. the chef prepares the menu according to the seasonality and availability of the ingredients. The evening was simply fantastic. You can reach the accommodation perfectly by underground from Fukuoka, it is also a perfect starting point to explore the Itoshima Peninsula. The accommodation is very well maintained, clean, new and even has free coffee and tea. There is also a fridge for storing products. The bedrooms are typical Japanese, so a bit smaller and with futon (which were very comfortable). I 100% recommend a stay and definitely try the sushi. The warmth and dedication is just fantastic. Our hosts Erica and Jo went above and beyond to assist us during our stay.From driving us to a restaurant and on our last morning getting us to our train station . The breakfast was delicious.The garden is magnificent .You simply could not ask for more from a host.

Itosima Guesthouse TOMO ligger i Itoshima, inom 18 km från Fukuoka Yafuoku! It was a dormitory and I was worrying about the noise. But it was very quiet at night and lights were turned off by the staff at 11pm, which was nice. I was able to sleep well. The location is walkable from the station. Neighborhood is quiet. There was a map showing shops and restaurants nearby at the guesthouse. The owner kindly told us a vegetarian dinner option (an udon restaurant which opens till late, just 5min walk from the guesthouse). Luggage storage after checkout was also possible.

Yanagawa Guesthouse HORIWARI 柳川の観光エリアにある静かな日本の宿 liggeri Yanagawa, 21 km från Uhuru-stadion, och erbjuder rum med luftkonditionering. Yuki was the perfect host. The house was When we arrived in Yanagawa she offered to pick us up from the train station. She offered us tickets to a special palace visit on our arrival. She also took us to private festival preparations and organized night boat rides for us. She gave us a lot of recommendations for cafés, restaurants and bars in the neighborhood and she also told us all about the history of yanagawa.

I really enjoyed that this located inside a little neighborhood so you get all the charms and experience of living in Japan like a local. The owner is super nice and I loved talking to her about my plans and other things, (I personally just enjoy when the owners are interested in giving recommendations about what to do or are just interested in getting to know their clients) It’s about a 10minute walk from the station (although keep in mind it is up a little hill if you are walking with a heavy bag from the station) which I like since at night it’s very quiet and easy to sleep since there are no cars racing by at night. The convenience stores are also about a 8 to 10minute walk away, but the fridge has been nicely separated so you know you have room to put your items in the fridge( if you don’t want to walk to the convenience store every morning to get coffee and food). I ended up utilizing the fridge more than I expected since I don’t usually use the fridges in large hostels since I tend to forget what food is mine if I can’t see my items. I recommend what I did which is to remember when I was walking back from the station at night to grab coffee and food at 7-eleven, so I could have a longer sleep-in in the morning.

They warmly helped to make sightseeing plan and gave us both lifts to pick us up to the station late at night and bring us to the station in the morning.

Rakuten STAY Hakata Gion 401 Superior Room ligger i centrala Fukuoka, en kort bit från Hongaku-ji Temple, och erbjuder luftkonditionerade rum och gratis WiFi. The location is close to the station, with many restaurants nearby and close to tourist attractions. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.
