We have had the privilege of staying at Bru Guesthouse on more than one occasion. The reason is of course the absolutely amazing location! While the houses offer privacy, they are closeby to Seljalandsfoss and just off the ring road. The views can be breathtaking if the Icelandic weather favors you. Although the hot water supply is limited (recommended 5 min shower, but who needs longer anyway), the bathroom is surprisingly roomy and comfortable. Nice kitchen with everything you need for cooking and dining.

This family-run property is 400 metres off Route 1 and 15 km from Selfoss. It offers free Wi-Fi and a terrace. Homemade bread, jam and pastries are served for breakfast. The guesthouse provided an exeptional experience with its helpful staff and enjoyable amenities. The owners gave us some nice recommendations.The bathrooms as well as the room was/were very clean. The breakfast, featuring local and fresh ingredients, was a highlight. Additionally, the unique feature of being able to view the aurora directly from the property added a special touch to the stay. Recommended for those seeking a comfortable and memorable experience.

Set 39 km from Geysir, Minniborgir Cabins features accommodation in Minni-Borg with access to a hot tub. This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. The cabin was spotlessly clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. The hot tub was such an enjoyable respite at the end of the day.
