Our lodging was next door in a guest house that had been converted into rooms with private bathrooms. We had an immaculate, beautiful room by the sea with nice furnishings and linens. The private bathroom was very nice with plenty of hot water and water pressure. The breakfast was a lovely presentation with a nice variety of Iceland breakfast foods. Breakfast was served at a large communal table. Not sure I really go for that but it was nice. Parking was easy and right in front of the lodging.

A traditional Icelandic breakfast is served every day at Vogafjos Café, located in a cowshed 3 minutes’ walk from the guesthouse. Dinner based on local produce, such as smoked lamb and trout, is also served here. Excellent room, comfortable bed, clean and quiet. Auroras seen just outside the room if weather allows!! Breakfast is excellent, with many cheese variety and local quality food. Restaurant menu for dinner is also very good. We enjoyed a lot our stay here.

The room is perfect, very comfortable, clean and warm. The host is very friendly, we comment about the aurora and whenn it was starting, she switch off all lights on the house. We will repeat to stay here on the comeback.

The water front views were awesome, wished we stayed for longer. It was everything we expected (kitchen, washer and dryer, clean premises).

Located within 2.6 km of Myvatn Nature Baths, Birkilauf in Myvatn has a number of amenities, including lake and mountain views. With a terrace, the property also features a shared lounge and a fully-equipped kitchen. The way to the accommodation was rather interesting. Nice and secluded house. You share a big house with 3 other rooms. The kitchen is fully decked out. Owner baked bread for everyone in the morning. You will have everything you need to make a meal, alternatively, there are a lot of restaurants around the area you can try. Needless to say, plenty of things to do/see.
