The host is so helpful and accomodating since we arrived pretty late. He help with instructions and good advice. The breakfast was amazing and the room/bathroom very modern and comfortable. We loved it!

I cannot rate Castaway Guesthouse highly enough and I look forward to returning again next time I visit the Orkneys

Grainbank Mews, a property with a garden, is set in Kirkwall, 16 km from Standing Stones of Stenness, 18 km from Ring of Brogdar, as well as 17 km from Ness of Brogdar. Thank you to Albert and Aileen for a wonderful stay at Grainbank Mews. The room was beautiful and sparkling clean, with a delicious breakfast prepared for us each morning. Great location, just outside Kirkwall and a couple minutes' drive to all the shops and restaurants. We were really curious about life on Orkney, and Albert was very kind and informative, even pointing us in the direction of the 'Orkney Dictionary' (which I bought!) This place is a treasure and we would love to stay again the next time we are in town.

The Ferry Inn offers 30 rooms spread across four buildings in Stromness, and is located 6 miles from the UNESCO Neolithic Heart of Orkney. Located in Saint Margarets Hope, 40 km from Maeshowe, Murray Arms Hotel and Seafood Restaurant, Orkney provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The room was comfortable and clean with a small bathroom but with a good shower. Staff were friendly and pleasant. The restaurant supplied the breakfasts with plenty of choices and the lunch and dinner meals were excellent.
