Excellent quiet location just a few minutes walk( uphill ) from ferry terminal.Nice gardens and pleasant lounge.Just be sure to book the right size of room as a “small” room is exactly that and the “shower booster “ has a mind of its own.Good choice of cooked items for breakfast, although having to record your choices and time before 6 pm the previous night may seem a bit regimental nowadays. All in all, a rather charming reminder of how things used to be.
Emily is an amazing and responsive host, a pleasure to communicate with. The guest house fully matches the description. It is located in a quiet, yet easy to reach area, if you are traveling by car and close to all the main attractions and towns. Definitely recommend this place to stay on Arran.
This charming and historic house offers lovely apartments in a quiet and peaceful location with truly spectacular views of Holy Isle. The wonderful town of Lamlash is a marvellous base with much to see and do, charming cafes and a choice of places to eat. The host is a delightful lady who meets you on arrival and is so welcoming and helpful.

This, combined with the home-made “squirrel” shortbread biscuits and other little treats, makes this guest house a great place to stay in Lamlash. In short, this is a GREAT guest house. For us a good bed and breakfast has a great host, a fantastic breakfast, wonderful location and views and a warm, comfortable room and bed. Belvedere scores highly on all these counts. Allan looked after us superbly, fed us royally and our rooms were comfy and warm. It made for a great stay, thanks.
