The property suggested a nearby car park, which we were able to find easily (though the pay machines were a bit dodgy with international credit cards) and it was only a short stroll to the house. Instructions to get in were fairly strait forward. The rooms were as described - a good sized queen and separate single with adjoining bathroom. I'm sad I didn't get to try out the awesome bath but the double shower was great! The location is excellent, with a short stroll to many eateries and the main shops etc. Mini bar fridge was appreciated.

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. The room was spacious, cosy and very clean. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly.

Just 1 mile from Lake Windermere this beautiful Victorian house is set in a peaceful location between Windermere and Bowness. Everything at Rum Doodle is excellent ..breakfast is very good and also location is very convenient...parking is also available ...rooms are cosy and comfortable.. highly recommended
