Located in Bowness-on-Windermere in the Cumbria region, The White House is a 5-star property featuring free WiFi. The double bed was huge and comfy. The bathroom was so classy! Old-fashioned transistor radio so retro. Using your palm to activate keypad to open door was the first for us. Good suggestions given by owner for walks.

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Abbey Court Guest House is a guest house set in a historic building in Carlisle, 38 km from Askham Hall. The lady who did our check-in was just fantastic and really nice to talk. The breakfast was excellent and well cooked. The room was clean like a 5-star hotel and the bed was just really soft and cozy. I think it was the best stay I've ever had in the UK.

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. Excellent location. Was able to purchase early parking and check in. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The hotel was clean, bright, modern and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, fruit juices, fruit, yogurt, granola and cereals and a great selection of cooked breakfast choices.

The Westbourne is a beautiful guest house set in the peaceful area below Biskey Howe in the Lake District. Bedrooms feature walk-in-shower rooms, luxurious toiletries and large fluffy towels. Comfortable, clean, great location! Wonderful breakfast and host!

Jerichos is a contemporary family-run guest house with stylish decor situated on a quiet side street in the heart of Windermere village. There is free Wi-Fi and free ample private parking. What a beautiful place to stay. Large and very well appointed rooms with everything you could need. Very comfortable large bed . Hosts were so lovely and welcoming and a delicious hot breakfast was included. Free parking as well. 2 minutes walk to the main street of the town. Highly recommended!!

Just 1 mile from Lake Windermere this beautiful Victorian house is set in a peaceful location between Windermere and Bowness. Wonderfully quirky little B and B. A very comfortable room with enough bedroom space. Loved the claw bath, this was in the bedroom, I loved this but some may not. The staff were friendly and welcoming. This little place was the perfect walking distance to Bowness for restaurants and Windermere for shopping.

The Log House is located in Ambleside, 16 km from Lake Windermere, 29 km from Derwentwater, as well as 34 km from Muncaster Castle. Great location just a 5-10 minute walk to the centre of town and also to the lake. Near parking and the view from our window over sheep in the paddock was very relaxing.

Situated in Ambleside and only 11 km from Lake Windermere, Yewfield Vegetarian Guest house features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. We were delighted with the beautiful surroundings and the hosts were friendly and accommodating.
