Set in Selkirk, Heatherlie House Hotel offers accommodation with seating area. The property features mountain and garden views, and is 12 km from Melrose Abbey. Sonny could not have done more to make sure our stay was perfect. He was/is an excellent host and it was lovely to hear the story of how his family came to own the hotel. The building is beautiful, the rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds, the dining area was bright and open, the food was excellent and all the staff were 1st class.

Set in Jedburgh and only 22 km from Melrose Abbey, Allerton House offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. This 4-star guest house offers luggage storage space. The site, food and location were perfect. And the beds were exceedingly comfortable.

The welcoming Wheatsheaf provides peaceful accommodation and award-winning food. It is located near Berwick-upon-Tweed, Coldstream, Duns and Kelso. Very personable and friendly team. Long distance drive meant that I would be arriving late. Not a problem for the Wheatsheaf Inn, I received a phone call half-way through my journey to see how I was getting on. Rooms very clean, I had a great night sleep, bed was very comfy. The breakfast was 10/10 with lots of choices outside of your standard cooked breakfast.

The Plough Inn Leitholm has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Coldstream. This 4-star inn offers free WiFi. The Hosts were so passionate about cleanliness, service, presentation, and meals. They provided a top-notch stay and made sure you had everything you needed. There is no shortage of anything. Meals were home cooked tasty meals and certainly not minimal on size. You can tell Sarah and David take great pride in what they offer and make everyone feel welcome. My husband is still raving about the egg and bacon sandwich, says it was the best he had in over 30 years if ever. I am a little jealous I didn't get one. Outstanding, 11 out of 10 !!!

Boasting a garden and views of river, Green Hope Guest House is a guest house set in a historic building in Ellemford, 33 km from The Maltings Theatre & Cinema. Truly loved my stay here. It's in such a relaxing location! The unit itself was spacious and well appointed, comfortable and calm. The hosts and their family were some of the kindest people I've met and they went out of their way to be sure I had everything I needed. 🥰 The river and the walk along the river were so peaceful -- exactly what I needed for my solo retreat. In addition to the spacious flat, there is also a lovely cabin overlooking the river and a cute little summer house that guests are allowed to use (on a first come first served basis, but I never had to wait for a turn.) An absolutely wonderful place and one I hope to return to! Also, the Scottish Borders are beautiful in every way and worthy of a visit!
