Heatherlie House Hotel har til huse i et elegant victoriansk palæ, der ligger på en 2 hektar stor grund med træer. Sonny could not have done more to make sure our stay was perfect. He was/is an excellent host and it was lovely to hear the story of how his family came to own the hotel. The building is beautiful, the rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds, the dining area was bright and open, the food was excellent and all the staff were 1st class.

The room was clean, USB ports in the bedroom, a "proper" coffee machine, not dried instant coffee. The food was freshly prepared, evening meal and breakfast. Would I go back there, of course without a shadow of doubt. One of the best places that I've stayed in.

Truly loved my stay here. It's in such a relaxing location! The unit itself was spacious and well appointed, comfortable and calm. The hosts and their family were some of the kindest people I've met and they went out of their way to be sure I had everything I needed. 🥰 The river and the walk along the river were so peaceful -- exactly what I needed for my solo retreat. In addition to the spacious flat, there is also a lovely cabin overlooking the river and a cute little summer house that guests are allowed to use (on a first come first served basis, but I never had to wait for a turn.) An absolutely wonderful place and one I hope to return to! Also, the Scottish Borders are beautiful in every way and worthy of a visit!
