This place is amazing, Maria and Manuel are incredibly accommodating hosts - always smiling, always willing to assist with whatever you need. This lodge is very special as it is part of the community of Mocagua and employs local people as guides and within the hostel. They directly support many families in the village and it is a unique experience to get to know the locals and explore the Amazon from their perspective. We spent 5 nights here and could have spent many more - there is so much to see and do. A few tips: - download google translate for Spanish and also Duolingo. There is very limited English spoken here and while you can probably get by with some basic phrases it is much more enriching to try and converse in Spanish if you can - make sure to bring lots of cash in Colombian Pesos (you won't get a good rate on exchanging USD) - there is no wifi and very limited cell service (no data) which is part of the charm of this place but just be prepared in advance by downloading any travel documents etc.

From the moment Mari picked me up at the airport on her motorcycle until she took me back 5 days later I felt cared for in a way that would never have happened in a hotel. It can be so confusing to sort out tours, etc. in Leticia, but Mari listened to what I wanted to do and see and helped me set up an itinerary that was just perfect. The highlight of the trip being a solo 5-hour walk/canoe ride with her brother, Elvis, through the jungle. He has a wealth of knowledge about all facets of the jungle and the people who live there. I am so grateful to Mari to opening her home to me and making me feel like part of the family.

Mooi ruim apartment. Goede airco in de slaapkamer. Erg vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaren. Prima locatie in Leticia.
De vele mogelijkheden voor excursies en de vriendelijkheid van de eigenaars. Ze hielpen waar mogelijk. Daarnaast is het gewoon een toplocatie midden in de jungle maar nog steeds kort bij Puerto Nariño.
Heel comfortabel en rustig gelegen. 5 minuten lopen van het centrum. De eigenaar is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Internet is erg goed.
Prima plek om te verblijven in Leticia. Aardige en behulpzame eigenaar en goed bereikbaar met de taxi's. Hygiënisch, heerlijke douche en een goede airco.
Het hostel is erg basic, maar dat is de ervaring waar je voor gaat als je naar Puerto Nariño toe gaat. De kamer voldeed. Badkamer had alleen koud water, maar dat is wel lekker in de hitte van het dorpje. Locatie is goed, 10 min. Lopen naat het centrum. Eigenaar is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Prima kamer voor de prijs. Vriendelijke eigenaren.
