The view from the room and from the terrace where we had breakfast and dinner was excellent. The host and his wife were most friendly and helpful. I highly recommend to have dinner in this place. We had traditional soup, pie, lamb stew, dessert and fruits for 13 EUR and the food was delicious. We ate lunch at the well-known Taverna Traditionale in Gjirokastra and I would say that the food in guesthouse Mele was better. And you can enjoy your meal from the terrace with wonderful view to the castle, not sitting by roadside.

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. We stayed for one night in the king room. It was magical! Such craftsmanship in the stone work and the finishing carpentry. Bed and linens were comfortable and warm. We were served a delicious home cooked meal in the morning. Hosts were very friendly and attentive.
