We loved everything about Oryza Guest House! The warm welcome, the charming home and lovely grounds. Breakfast each morning was delicious. Such a beautiful place! if we are ever back in Coimbra, we will stay here again.

Most wonderful welcoming accommodation. My room was so large and a decent sized bathroom. Restaurants and cafes directly across the street. No street noise once the windows were closed and air-conditioning worked well for the short period I was there.

Susana was an amazing host, and little Arya too! They both warmly welcomed us with a wide smile, alongside some cute gifts, a cool Praxis beer and many treats for our dog... and a puppy bed that served as a soft pillow. It's not easy to find amazing stays that are truly pet-friendly as well. Location-wise, it's walking distance from Coimbra's downtown though it might still be better to use a car since it's a bit of a climb. There's a supermarket, a few cafés, and most points-of-interest south-west of the river close-by. The room has it own entrance and a small patio, which is convenient (Susana lived upstairs), and it was very cozy and well decorated. While it does not have a kitchenet per-se, it actually felt more like an apartment, and would be great for shorter stays or those looking to eat out more often (the city has tons of great restaurants). The microwave and coffee-maker should fulfill most needs.

The whole guesthouse was so classy. Very clean and pristine, very restful garden to relax in. Great location- close walk to town. Host Jonas was lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was superb. Loved all the beautiful details I’m the kitchen/ bathroom/ bedroom. Nicest accomodation we have stayed in Portugal for this price bracket. Definitely a cut above the rest.

Beautiful location near the university, gorgeous and palatial room (composed of antechamber, large living room with two balconies overlooking the river, bedroom and bathroom). Tasteful furniture in historical house. Delicious breakfast. Very welcoming host.
