Beautiful location with ocean views, huge comfy bed, air conditioning and fans came in handy as Mazunte was so hot, the owner and his wife were lovely and so helpful they gave us a ride to our next accomodation.

Castillo Oasis is a lovingly custom built "castle" created with architectural elements of the area (such as thatch roofs and wooden terraces). There are nice details all over the place, such as gemstone or sea shells in the walls. The whole place creates a super relaxed atmosphere. The beach is just a 2min walk away and you have restaurants and a small shop right outside the door. The noise level was OK, no loud bars or anything that kept us up at night. The owner is super friendly and very eager to help with tips around your trip. She also helped us book a whale watching tour where we saw dolphins, whales and turtles. I can recommend the place and would stay there again.

Perfect location, close to the beach but also a bit secluded
Terrace with awesome views
Basic but also cosy, enough cutlery to make simple meals, drinking water provided.
Eco toilet wasn’t a problem - doesn’t smell if covered properly. Also the stairs that some people mentioned in their reviews were really not that bad.

A unique place, a little bit removed from the beach but its not a problem - there is a lot of green here. The object is quite comfortable, with mosquitieras enveloping both beds we had (one king-size and one smaller one). For a pair - great place with a lot of nature and still close to the beach(playa del amor the closest). It offers privacy with the way windows are made and how rooms are situated, which both me and the lady appreciated more than once ;)
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.

It was a 15 minute walk to Playa de Amor. Water and coffee were provided. Noe was a very good host, very attentive. Roosters crowing and dogs barking are normal but Noe was very thoughtful in providing earplugs. Also spices for cooking.
Rita is an incredible host. She is kind and will go out of her way to help. She made a good breakfast every morning (coffee, fresh fruit, pastry) and would always have a drink or something for you when you returned to the property. She was always welcoming and friendly, and every night I was there the guests would congregate to talk have something to drink. It was a wonderful experience and I would go again.
Beautiful decor, and great location. The staff is very friendly and professional. Our regular waiter Enrique spoke perfect English and provided outstanding service. He wasn't hard on the eyes either ;). It's nice to be right on the beach. Other hotels and restaurants are very close as well, so it's easy to try different restaurants and have some variety.
I was received with open arms, getting a coconut right away. The room is super nice, and not too hot at all, also super nice showers. The breakfast was also really good! The hosts take incredible care for their guests, make you feel as if you were part of the family.
